Irina Rodnina was born in 1949, making her about 57 when this was filmed. I think it would be interesting to see an exhibition of the world champion & Olympic skaters, who are now 45+. Wonder if they all aged this well?!
And Rodnina will be 60 on the 12th of September! In 10 more days-so hard to believe. And Sasha Zaitzev -Aleksander Zaitsev Jr., turned 30 on Feb.23rd, 2009 .
I think she looks better as she really has aged very well.
Oh I'm sure they are but I don't think Rodnina is. She lightened her hair and lost some weight but that's about-I'm only guessing here-that's about as much as she would be willing to do. I wonder if that guy and his blonde lady who are shown at the beginning-could that be Ulanov and his wife Lumila Smirnova?
Oh yes it has, everyone is flocking to get the newest eye creams, botox injections(yes, botox is very popular, I would know!), face-lift(again, I would know), you name it...Standard of living certainly has skyrocketed since the 90s.

No, it's not Ulanov and Lumila Smirnova. It's Vladislav Tretyak - hope you know that he is one of the greatst goalkeepers.
