I still remember, vividly, loading up on red wine on my iksar monk, going to Neriak, training a horde of hostile dark elf npc's behind me as I ran to the red wine quest receiver, and feigned death at his feet...where I proceeded to hand him all the red wine I'd brought until I had enough faction to wander Neriak unhindered. Bring enough alcohol and I guess you can get on just about anyone's good side. Iksar monks ruled. :D

man this game was so fucking DOPE, dont know why i ever quit. remember the crap zones that were always empty like The Barrens and the Erudite city? upper Guk camping that alligator for some POS drop. amazing times. didnt like when they introduced the new player models though. then WoW came out with its cartoony graphics and everybody hopped on the bandwagon, including me. what an error on my behalf. Everquest, i formally apologize for my actions. hope this game is still going strong,The Karanas.

so in all EQ and EQ2 are better than WOW the only reason more people play wow is because you dont need a relly good comp so wow is a poor mans EQ orEQ2

so true. An epicced monk with max haste was basically a machine gun. They never hit amazingly hard, but they did hit amazingly fast. It was amazing. Today's DPS classes of just about every MMO merely focus on large numbers.

Monk always was the best class in EQ. Solo'd fucking Eashen of the sky at 70 on mine. Ahriman the spider guardian at 75. and Tunare at 80.

im oldschool i remember lvling in lguk before they nerfed the fear spells for pvp, people would get feared n run into the hand room n train it all the way to zone lol good times. My lvl65 de necro was named ditdogs he was one of the first to get epic, quack quack anywayz to answer your question, the monk that did that botb was stynkfyst, we where guilded together for a period.

EQ has changed a lot. In some ways it's still the same game. In a lot of ways though, it's totally different. Too many revamps of old zones imo.

Yeah on the revamps, i just tried out the 2month free play thing, and yuck(in some ways) the revamped zones, High Hold Pass/Commonlands just don't look how i wanted them too :( At least i could disable the awful new player models and keep the originals, they look so much better imo.
