Does the plant oil also work with commonrail diesels?

Because we wanted to convert our Volks wagen Caddy 1.9L I-4 turbocharged Commonrail diesel.. And we have been told that it was just possible with older diesel engines, with non commonrail diesels.. Or does the filter make the fuel so acceptable for the engine?
