This guy is a monster. I was on a work crew for 12 hour days hauling cement blocks hundreds of feet. This went on for months. I was there for a year. No school of any kind. This was many years ago. Always hungry, always tired, always scared of Bro Fountain and the staff. I had to eat dirt one time for telling my parents who came to visit me of the deplorable conditions.

I was there and if not for them I would be lost. I was there from 87-90 and i had no abuse and I ate regularly. I saw no abuse. The only thing I saw was a bunch of kids like me who was sent there cause we were rebellious and were a problem. If you were a perfect child then be mad at your parents cause they lied to get you in! At this point GROW THE F___ UP! You are only in place you allow yourself to be in. If you still believe in God then that should be your comfort. Let God deal your problems

Ok so this is an old clip. I was taken I guess in the third raid. Did I want to go? No. I begged my now gay step father to return me which he did the day after. The Fountains have always been a family to me. Did I get licks? Of course I did when I deserved them. If it was not the Brother Fountain I have a feeling something bad would of happen to me.

The kids that usually went and hung at Fountains, were the chosen few of Fountains and Owens', us others kissed his ass to avoid beatings, until we realized that, he didn't like that either. There were a lot that went on at Bethel that still hasn't come out and may never, some of us do not like to talk about it. I hate to see suckass Fountainites act as if it were a good place. It may have been for some but for others it was hell!

I spent 4 years there. The school had made a few mistakes in the way they handed down authority to other children; but overall it was exactly what some of those kids needed to get striaghtened out. I know I am a better man because of Bethel.

The only thing you even got closely right was that they were spanked when they broke the rules. @slinkybrown I have also read the reports of further abuse long after my brother was there in 1988-1989. Contrary to your delusions- there was electrocution torture used, there was child abuse; including extensive beatings bruises- black eyes, psychological torture, sleep deprivation, and starvation tactics used, children forced to wear soiled clothes. All these things cause trauma and and lead dissociation in the victim.--which allows for programming of the subject(i.e. brainwashing).

Every child, including myself made up some of the most terrible excuses and accusations in an attempt to get out of there. I remember telling my parents I was being starved and that I had cancer. I was beaten every day, I had broken bones, ect...

@slinkybrown I would suggest you read the original Hebrew transliteration for "correction". It simply means disciplining in a figurative sense includes rebuke, chastisement, and administions. It also means reasoning together, arguing, and instruction. A fourteen year old child does not need to be spanked to the point of bruises because they are capable of reasoning and to be instructed. Whatever if you feel you were never abused then fine other children were.

@DeborahsSong Actually the "Torah" demands the parents to "Stone" their children when they are dissobedient. Thank God they didn't discipline like that today. Brother Fountain used to come down to the dorm and ask some kids to come back and hang out at his house with his family and play board games. I was one of these kids that would go and play chess with him. That doesn't sound much like an abusive enviroment.

I was a resident of this home and what these kids are saying is true. I was 13 when I lived there and am 41 now. I still have emotional scars from this place. I'm so glad the children are finally being heard.

@klspyx I was also there with my two brothers, and sister. Now 39 and just doing a little reflecting as I find myself in the south today. I have decided to drive to the site and see what is located there.
