  • @1985jon Air starter

  • oh yea duh! haha fuck im stupid sometimes.

  • These are no longer in service. Only lasted three years or so. I rode on one that had a stuck throttle - the driver applied the brakes to slow down. Three of the four that GLPTC owned (705, 706, 707, 708) had turbo kits installed to help them make the climb up University St. past Ross Ade. And yes, they were very loud, but comfortable to ride on.

(I'm from Lafayette, and a Purdue grad - Class of '08 MET.)

  • @rbuszka Actually 705 still will make an appearance every now and then (my channel has a video of it). Pretty sure its the only remaining Detroit screamer.

  • Shits so loud. One of the loudest D40HF Artics on here.

  • This bus sounds awesome!!! If this bus was 8V71 powered, "this bus would really have a tough roar

  • To 6V92TA: Sorry for the very late reply, but I've already found out about the transmission. Plus, I thought once it was the Allison World transmission until I have found out that this bus has the Allison HTB-748 automatic transmission. But thanks though...
