It was the greatest thing in the world when the original actor for Pa didn't make it to the show and Michael Landon took over the part! It wouldn't have been the same without him! :)
I'm not a doctor but really..... he can walk? Wouldn't he die from internal bleeding or something? I'm glad he doesn't die but I think they took artistic license on this one!
Now if that dumb Charles has stayed put he would have saved everyone a ton of grief. Sometimes Charles displays less intellect than a mushroom in a can of soup,

the show would continue. cause remember that the show is based on the books. so if pa died in the book thats how it would be in the show
