I watched da news few mins. ago and it showed da activist in da philippines who don't want to re open da US bases. Shame sa mga kababayan natin na walang kabuluhan. For what I heard before US bases rent fee were pocketed by our filipino politicians. That's why da people especially in da locals don't see any improvements of their areas. The locals should demonstrate to their community leaders and ask where da money went? Instead of demonstrate da us bases some filipinos talaga utak talangka.

the philippine should rent it again for the us G.I soo while renting the earning should be place for ph military modernization . because what will ph will place on it if they cant put plane aircraft and ship in that naval base??

This bases are the perfect area for the US government, the PH-US history will tell. when the US presence in this bases before are the balance and equalizer of the freedom of navigation in the south east asia sea or the west philippine sea.

The re-opening of this bases will give a balance sea lane and freedom of navigation in the south east asia sea and to match the bullying presence of the sleeping giant.

Philippines should re-open the bases to US as part of Mutual Defense Treaty since 1951.

The Phillippine People have always been very patriotic with America and in todays world it would be a very good thing to bring back our Military Bases over there. It is too bad that

this matter played into their politics so much and became such a corrupt ideal for their people.

WE have been very lucky that the situations have not came up where we had to go back right away but lets not forget history and keep our good friends over there into the long future.

It will give jobs, work and business again for the people and places in all surrounding provinces. I hope US senate will consider and approved these proposals. The west philippine sea is an important sea routes or access to all country for transfortation and business as well. philippine islands and sea are strategic location with a perfect harbor, we filipinos should use it as an advantage for our business and economic purpose. I hope our President Benigno Aquino - III should review these.

I hope this will going to happen, it is better for my country to open the subic naval base and clark airbase again. i wish our congress and senate will look and consider these. i hate those people who voted out US presence before. it will help the philippines not only for military reason but for humanitarian activities also. i don't understand why some senators in my country don't want us presense where in other countries are asking for it.
