  • @NimaKP crysis warhead

  • LOL 3:37

  • I just picked up another one of these babies for crossfire on overclockers for £107!

  • I have XFX Radeon HD 5850 1 GB and I am able to play Crysis at Maximum settings (Full HD, all graphic settings to Very High, and Anti-Aliasing at 4x, and I get around 33 fps at an average which is quite good. I actually love this card for it bang-for-the-buck factor. moreover, it remains cool n quite most of the time and is much better than nvidia lineup

  • @gary199302 If you want another one for CFX, they are super cheap on overclockers uk right now, just got a another sapphire for £107!

  • @qttytn : really?? thats very cheap.. and two 5850's in cfx would produce performance of something about one 5970. thats great... i really missed opportunity cuz the pc in which i have 5850 is just a normal day-to-day usage pc. i have another one for gaming purposes, which has two 5970's in cfx, so i really don't think that i'd be needing a 5850 as of now cuz for gaming, i already got a much much better one.. thanks anyways dude, that price for a 5850 is a real damn cheap!!!!

  • Crysis Warhead will run 1920x1080, all maxed, no aa at very, VERY playable framerates. No need to cranking down the settings.

  • @FRURMELLL i have q6600 ati hd 5850 and 50, 60 fps with x8 aa

  • 1:44 Sounds like a Fermi on idle.

  • tornado??? sounds like my sister's hair dryer

  • i dont understood what you say , so what was the test system (cpu, ram)

  • i got my 5850 @ 850/1200 stock woltage,,, fps pwns just about everything...

  • Is that samsung t220:}?

  • @oxidesdemon 2433BW dude (24")

  • No way you couldn't crank up all your settings to enthusiast and maintains well over 30fps. My 4870 512MB runs it at enthusiast at 30-35 fps. That card should destroy the game :/

  • thinkin of a 5850 but might make a jump to nvida i dont know

  • @5british5

    wait for HD 6000...

  • @555Atlas wait why not wait for the 9000s

  • @5british5

because the 9000s will release in maybe 4-5 years and the 6000ers in 3 days =)

  • @555Atlas never buy brand new hardware

  • @5british5

buy it in 2-3 month ;)

the new cards are 35% faster than the old

  • video's good, but do you mind I ask why you are using a sound card? It looks like you have it connected to the speakers on that monitor. I can see the point if it was hooked up with a receiver, but I just don't see it here.

  • @WWoodyW its the home cinema kit built into the workshop. was a long time ago!

  • did he played at 1920x1200??? sorry bit i can't understand english so good, and i'm getting lost when i head a review in english :( i actually can understand 80% or more, from a review like this. by the way i'm glad to speak romanian, spanish and catalan (catalan sux :S)

    PLZ answer!!!

  • @jacobonix yes , correct

  • Can I connect My ATI 5850 with my Geforce 9600 GSO for muiltycard use or is that just stupid?

  • @sk8bamsk8 you can't crossfire or sli with nvidia and ati cards, if u want to crossfire that 5850 you need either another 5850, a 5870 or a 5970

  • @Mrbadboy333 Thanks for the help (:

  • @sk8bamsk8 I want to know this aswell cause i'm thinking of getting a 5850. Now i'm usinga 9600 GT.

  • wow 5850 is a Beast

  • I just bought myself a 5850 and im liking it alot crysis runs really good on a lower resolution on max settings.

  • the fan noise is awful. i never crank it up. but the card itself is awesome at price for performance, plays all the games. go for it. or if you want even more performace go for 5770 crossfire at the same cost that 5850.

  • @gippula : seriosuly dude!! the fan noise is like a hair dryer rather. the fan will make almost no extra noise at 40%. at 50% it will make some noise.. at 60%, its the most ideal deal to keep the gpu cool as well as at 60%, the fan wouldnt even make much noise. things get messed up at anything more than 80%. try to use ur gpu at 20% when idle and at 55% or 60% when playing games.. that will help u (works for me, everytime)

  • Good review mate. thankyou for confirming everything I had questions for.

    Pete

  • coolermaster v8 baby best 1 of the best air coolers on the market

  • @coletrain8666 HAHAHAHA thats so funny, you really need to get a better cooler. the V8 is pants compaired to the new breed of coolers.

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms ITS GOOD ENOUGH TO KEEP MY Q9550 AT 3.8GHz AT IDLE CORE1@ 39 CORE2@ 39 CORE3@ 42 CORE4@ 42 LOAD FOR 2HRS CORE 1@ 58 CORE2@58 CORE3@61 CORE4@61 and anyway can't be that bad if your using it on this test rig and when i bought it back in march 2009 there was no cheap water cooling solution until later in the year

  • @coletrain8666 Used it cos its all I had at the time, and the i7 did get pretty warm. Id never have bought one tbh fella. Looks at the Noctuas coolers ;)

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms do you have any reviews of the Noctuas cooler as im thinking of changing my intel rig for the new amd AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition 1090T setup and as the max temp for this cpu is 65c i would like a already build water cooling kit aka Corsair h50 or the coolit eco what do you think would best suit this HOT new AMD

  • @coletrain8666 yes mate check my videos

  • Interesting, mate, I have a 26" Samsung just like that. I love it. If you have your choice, would go with the HD 5850 or the HD 5870? I want to build a system with the i7 980x and the Asus P6x58D MoBo. Probably a 128 ss boot drive and a pair of 300GB Velosiraptors w/ 12 GB of HyperX. In a storm sniper. air cooled.

  • @Imragnar1 If you have the money for a 980 then you really dont need to be asking what GPU to buy now do you? With a 980 you should have the money for the 5870 too.

  • excellent review! *****

  • @superjuben in ur dreams fatboy

  • My new computer will have the same GPU. My screen only has a maximum resolution of 1600x900. Can I run Crysis at maximum settings (with x8 AA and AF)?

  • 2x is good enough and yes it will run max, but get the asus 5850 it can overclock higher than any 5870

  • @revenant3154

Thanks for your reply. My computer will have the Asus 5850. I thought about getting a 5870, but it was way more expensive and I didn't think it would be worth the extra money.

  • @enisijzer

no you wont be able to you AA and AF at all cuz the screen will shrink

  • @TheRenegade217 Yeah, I did notice that. But thanks anyway!

  • @enisijzer

    no problem m8

  • Just curious, is that a 24" monitor or 26"?

  • 24 dude

  • Good review man thanks what name brands are you testing asus sapphire HIS Power color?

  • holy shit some nice graphics

  • And I also had x8 AA and AF

  • I have a 5850 and played enthusiastic settings and no problems at all

  • christmas nice work body....tc//......keep it comming .... those provide a lot of info...

  • atlast the ...... budy i was waiting for ur reviews from the christmasnice work....budy....

  • i always wondered, as a reviewer are you allowed to keep the components you get for review? or do you have to send them back?

  • Most of it goes back dude. The samples get passed around the review sites.

  • Should take note of the serials, the samples would no doubt be the higher binned chips.

  • I always wondered about that, I bet it'd suck if you received the gear after some horrid slob reviewer had it, has it ever happened?

  • Not in that bad of a state no matey

  • ok thx man :) just curious :D

  • lol good driving :D performs well i think. crysis is alright, i recon on highest setting would get 30 average, whats the resolution at?

  • the resolution is played at 1920 x 1200 throughout

  • Very nice !

I waited some time to see those kind of reviews from you TOM !

    Keep up!

    cheeers!
