  • Thank you! It' s nice to hear. I moved around and lost my records.I had all their records. The most beautiful vocals!

  • the guess who is really underrated, they are one of the greatest bands

  • It would be impossible to pick ten favorites from this band. Even their 'B' side singles were gems.

  • Great song. It would sure be hard to pick a top ten favorites of this band. They never really had a bad song. Even their 'B' side singles were all good.

  • Wasn't this song in "An Officer & a Gentleman"-- the scene where Richard Gere takes Debra Winger to the dance?

I'm surprised this song is from 1971. I was convinced it was from the '50s!

  • geesh thanks so very much... now if i could get it to my ipod

  • Thanks for this post, a real gem from Burton.

  • This is one of my favourite songs

  • I love this songso much! <3

  • Wow i absolutly love this song! one of my favorites by them Cummings voice is unreal. Im doing a preoject right now on then for canadian history.

  • Yeah, and Burton played the saxophone as well, as stated on the vinyl "So long Bannatyne!" All of the Guess Who is great, as versatile as they were. And Burton is still going strong with old mate Randy Bachman.

  • One of my favorites from 1970. This is pure classic BC. One thing that most people forget is people have to die, and leave all behind. Just beautiful!!!!!

  • Great song by a Classic Band. The lyrics have puzzled me for years. "You don't believe that this whole universe could be inside your little sister's purse" ?

"Ain't it hard when you discover your energy has to leave you for another" ?

"Life in the bloodstream... I hope the little boy don't fall and skin his knee"?

Life, death, living, dying, are we just a pixel in the big picture ?

BTW... The album So Long Bannatyne is still available... got mine on ebay recently.

  • The Guess Who is one of my favorite bands of all-time... and it's because of songs like this.

  • A forgotten gem sung to perfection by Burton, plus typically cool piano playing! Unfortunately, you will never hear this great tune on today's radio.....

  • Thank you for posting this lost classic! If you don't have this album - you won't hear this on radio, either - you may never get to hear this gem!

  • Nice song, heard it before. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks SO MUCH for posting this song. I have not been able to find it anywhere. One of my favorite songs every. Thanks again.

  • We're all life in the bloodstream.....one of the gest Guess Who songs ever....hard to discover....

  • I have always liked this song. Thanks for posting. Burton Cummings and the Guess Who were one of the best bands ever.

  • Tomkaye-Thanks for the great Guess who post-If u have more from so long banatyne or anything from Road Food to post-i would appreciate it

  • I absolutely love this song. It is the epitomy of every song dimension in history.

  • This is about as close to doo wop as Burton Cummings ever came and it's a great one. Kind of brings to mind the Skyliners "Since I Don't Have you." Same kind of nostalgic feel.

  • This song always reminded me of late 50s rock and roll. What a voice

  • The idea is to remind you

of 50's rock n roll, so you got it.

  • Great song ! Don't know what I love better-Burton's vocals, the piano, or the "zinger" nature of the lyrics...They don't make 'em like this no more, kiddies...More's the pity.

  • tomkaye , keep up the dynamites posts...very excellant eh!!!

  • This was one of those tunes I liked to play from the album, this and "Grey Day" nice to hear it again...thanks, eh!
