Yes we all seem to try to do our bit for the environment. Pity the government doesn't do its share and allocate some water for the environment instead of 99% for irrigators. This is NOT the result of drought, They just allocate more and more water every year,
@davesgirl379 it seems that easy, fact is as a irrigator i have already made great sacrifices of water to the point im almost broke. over allocation wasnt a problem until gov- made water tradible and seperated from land, before that water was tied to land and most allocations couldnt be used on that land, too much water so it was called sleeping water and didnt get used until gov- made it worth money so they could get water to the cities.

Cubby station and politicians are responsibole for this as well as the people that live in the adjoining states that are individually sucking the once mighty river dry. Dude, there is definately a drought and therefore there is DEFINATELY a need to conserve water. Like whats in the Vid there is plenty that we as individuals can do to contribute. Simply fixing a leaking tap saves20,000 litres of water in a year. Thats 20,000 litres back in the murrays system. And that is only 1 leaking tap out of how many Australian housholds that rely on the murray?!?!?! Use your head dude!!
where did you get the figures of 20,000 litres/ tap ? Its made up in your head right.like the rest of it. Water only leaves the system when it goes into a pipe. ALL water losses go back to nature.! DUDE !
And NO it does not go back to anything. Most of that 20,000 liters of water would be evaporated. None of it returns to the Murray River, which is an issue!
I have supported farmers all my life- i am not a murderer- i do have an opinion- i don't have any assets at risk and really just want the river to survive - if my concern bothers you give me some suggestions and positive feedback rather than being abusive- whats the answer Mr Knowitall-
