I attended this film in the cinema here in Brazil when still she was child. He was one of the best films that already vi. I am happy for having found these films. Thank you for sharing.
Jean Jacques Annaud isn't afraid of taking high risks when he chooses his cinematographic topics. Here, to shoot a film with wild animals as actors is very very very audacious! Respect!
well spoken. whoever says this guy didnt take risks or film something hard doesnt know what they are talking about. its so hard 2 get an animal 2 behave the way u want it 2 for a particular scene. i bet they spent days or weeks just on one scene cuz they couldnt get the bear 2 do what they wanted it 2. props 2 jean jacques annuad
Rather sad to watch, but thankfully no bears were harmed in the filming apparently, despite the falling rocks. For anyone who's interested, the music is an orchestral version of Tchaikovsky's piano piece "June - Barcarolle" from his series of pieces called "The Seasons".
the bird call at 55 sec sets the tone the vibe of this movie i think. that call is the very essence of wild. when you hear that call you know u are in the wilderness. great movie.
great Find. I had to drag my severely injured body to see this movie when it came out, and I'm not a movie buff. Bart was amazing, and so is Doug Seus his owner and trainer. They were/are some of the joys in life. Thanks for the upload.

People like Jean-Jacques Annaud are a real blessing, showing how God's fingerprints show up in the wilds

The screenplay, music, and direction is by the same people that did "Quest for Fire" (1981) with similiar scenes, too.
