    5/5

  • This is my favorite movie in the whole world! <3

    I LOVE bears.

  • I attended this film in the cinema here in Brazil when still she was child. He was one of the best films that already vi. I am happy for having found these films. Thank you for sharing.

    Regards.

    Kelvin

  • Jean Jacques Annaud isn't afraid of taking high risks when he chooses his cinematographic topics. Here, to shoot a film with wild animals as actors is very very very audacious! Respect!

  • well spoken. whoever says this guy didnt take risks or film something hard doesnt know what they are talking about. its so hard 2 get an animal 2 behave the way u want it 2 for a particular scene. i bet they spent days or weeks just on one scene cuz they couldnt get the bear 2 do what they wanted it 2. props 2 jean jacques annuad

  • I watched this with my gran when I was a little kid I'm 25 now and it is still good!

Thanks for posting I added it to my favorites movie collection :)

  • this movie is so hard to watch sometimes, but still leaves such a wonderful warm feeling in my heart... love it. so beautyful.

-poor little guy, sitting there whimpering next to his dead mum :(

  • thank, you

  • OMG I love this movie! So beautiful & heart touching!

  • People like Jean-Jacques Annaud are a real blessing, showing how God's fingerprints show up in the wilds

  • Rather sad to watch, but thankfully no bears were harmed in the filming apparently, despite the falling rocks. For anyone who's interested, the music is an orchestral version of Tchaikovsky's piano piece "June - Barcarolle" from his series of pieces called "The Seasons".

  • Poor little bear!

Thank you for posting and sharing this

    wonderful film !

  • I am guessing with all that fur and claws bee stings means nothing to that mama.

  • i live very close to the place where the movie was shot

  • thats cool as fuck. the place the shot this is so beautiful. i would love 2 go hiking there.

  • yes, sometimes i do hike there, it's in the italian alps in north east))) the mountains are called DOLOMITI.

  • the alps eh? fucking sweet.. i want 2 hike some of the alps.

  • For real? Was it British Columbia or Alaska?

  • its supposed to be based in british columbia but it was filmed in the alps

  • well from 55 sec to 1 min and 25 sec

  • the bird call at 55 sec sets the tone the vibe of this movie i think. that call is the very essence of wild. when you hear that call you know u are in the wilderness. great movie.

  • I hope that they didn't use real bear cubs through some of the dangerous looking scenes.

  • thx. my first and only crymovie

  • Thanks for uploading this, I haven't seen this in ages.

  • great Find. I had to drag my severely injured body to see this movie when it came out, and I'm not a movie buff. Bart was amazing, and so is Doug Seus his owner and trainer. They were/are some of the joys in life. Thanks for the upload.
