The Jazz are looking pretty solid in the post now. Jefferson, Millsap, Favors and Kanter all are all good posts. Favors and Kanter will be a good post combo to replace Jefferson and Millsap when they get too old.
As a Nets fan, I hated to see Derrick go. Of course it's Deron Williams we're talking about. I can live with the trade if we re-sign DWill for the next 5 years. But what if... Oh my, I don't want to even think what if, because Favors will be multiple DPOY in the league and maybe even All Star once he figures his offense. Good luck in Utah, Derrick!
Props to the Jazz for going for it and rebuilding. This guy's going to be a star. So athletic and already developing a touch from outside. No wonder they're shopping Millsap and Jefferson.
I'm not a fan of Utah at all, but I think Favors will be a very nice centrepiece for them going forward. Very versatile for a big. Kanter and Favors could do some damage out West.
@aba2185 Yeah you're right. At 36 minutes per game he would average about 14 points and 10 rebounds to go with 2 blocks. Hopefully Enes Kanter will be good and the Jazz would have a good young post to build with.
@aba2185 This is kind of random but since I was looking at players' stats per 36 minutes.. Kevin Love averaged 13 rebounds per 36 minutes his rookie year O_O With that in mind I think Derrick Favors is gonna be pretty good.
Great vid. You're missing him getting hit in the face as he dunks on Dalembert and some of the great ones w/ the Nets (making Diaw fall to the ground). He had a couple of good ones vs Boston.
I think the jazz should trade one of their big men, I mean Dfavors, Enes Kanter, Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, and OMakur aren't gonna get much play time because they all have so much tallent.
He always seems to be holding up onto himself a little bit, I believe he can play more athletic if he wants to (a good way to avoid knee injury?). When he got up you can tell he always wanted a quick and easy finish while positioning well his body to avoid getting hurt.
When he got up for the block he seldom spike the ball, instead he tried his best to control the ball in his hand.
He can control the game at both ends in a very quiet way (especially given by his crazy athleticisim), he is definitely a team-first type player. And I really like his low key character.
He described himself as an Amare-like player, yet I think with his great shot-block timing, nice footwork with great feel of positioning at either side of the low block, soft touch with either hand finger-rolling the ball kissing off glass, determination to slam it home whenever he can...and most importantly only 19 years old. Dare to say what he said about himself was an understatement.
Great job on the video! This kid is impressive. i am looking forward to seeing the Jazz core grow! I liked the song and the close up camera shots you used.
The Jazz said they had Favors projected in the top 2 picks of last years draft. He went to NJ at 3... we end up getting him and another 3rd pick this year... what a deal.
0:34 shows you what this kid is capable of. The way he recovered the ball, took the ball to his left and worked his way to the other side of the rim using his body to keep his man from blocking his shot.
This is another great video by you wish u had more views
also can u plz make a ronnie price video he has been a big part of the jazz the last few years maybe not as much last year but he as been a fan favorite and he may not be with the jazz much longer

Meh. 6.8 PPG in his first season? 5 Rebounds? I could see this guy maybe being a 14 PPG 8 RBS guy. Which isn't a bad thing.

Pretty good left hand for a rookie. You can easily see that he's great around the rim player and his mind is set.
