Thanks regarding the sound quality, thats the result of mucking around with eqs and compressors until it sounded good. I think my next videos will sound better, my mate helped me properly!

@Drumpro712 It's not good to have your wrist turned sideways. like 2:53 for instance. your right hand is like completely sideways, and thats a very common way drummers get arthritis, but it was a good video :)
is that a mix between a splash and a china that you're hitting for the fast part of the verse? the small cymbal next to the granite blocks -- what size is the cymbal? i've been looking everywhere for a cymbal with that kind of sound for this song and several works by mike portnoy but i can't find it....so what is it exactly? im dying to know
@b0blosanchez hey mate, thats a stack, which is basically a stack of crappy cymbals to create a trashy sort of sound. underneath is a severely cracked paiste 2002 12" splash and on top is a 8" stagg splash. I now play with a cracked 14" sabian mini china underneath all that too. hope that helps :)
@Mcruled yeah it is horrible isn't it :P it was a pretty awkward way i had to play last year because i had to set the kit up like that for my hsc drum solo. I play a different setup these days, you'll see when i post another video :)
@juangodfrid hey, those are granite blocks - a set of woodblock type percussion that have different pitches. i purchased them for my end of year 12 drum solo at school :)
