How do you get it to third person?

Just press "F1" like you would if you were in a vehicle. However, it only works in editor, i don't know if there might be some console command to enable it in the full game, you'd have to look that one up.

Helluva nice shot!
I like to do the same but drop c4 on top of them. The big trucks make 'splosions of epic proportions.
