I think anyone who wants to go and shoot at lion should have to do so with nothing but a bow and arrow, and they should have to earn it by living in the african savanah for 2 weeks with NO weapon, NO protection, NO food, NO backup- if they're still alive after those two weeks, MAYBE they earned a shot at one, and only for food- and only with something that requires actual skill, like a spear or bow and arrow. They'd very likely die- which is fine by me. Stupid cowardly assholes.

@rmartinez8176 I doubt the lions "grew a taste for human flesh" -- more likely, humans were encroaching on their territory. Either way, they could have been removed far outside of the area without killing them. Not to mention, the "hunters" didn't look nor handle the situation very professionally. Bunch of amatuers. My family wouldn't be eaten by lions, because neither I nor anybody in my family is stupid enough to go into lion territory on foot.

This video just shows that hunting is not the "shooting fish in a barrel" that some people think it is; many hunters get hurt. As for the people that say "Hunters shouldn't have guns, the animals don't so its only fair", hunters don't have razor-sharp claws, huge canines, or 400+ lbs of mass either. And all hunting is regulated by government programs; hunting no longer threatens to make any species go extinct (unless done by poachers, in which case they're breaking the law).

Lions are at the top of the food chain, and biologists have warned that if the big cats become extinct this could have a serious knock-on effect, with other species of animals coming under threat. And some say that its better to shoot the lion before it gets maybe poison by farmers but, scienstists have notice that some farmers don't have any problems with the lions at all because they have high fences in their areas. so they are starting with a fence project

The days of hunting a species to extinction is over thanks to the animal protection programs that have been put in place....and are largely funded by hunters. The real problem is not men like these in the video but poachers that do not abide by the law.
