  • h0p3 @11 0f u g37zzz 7h3 AIDZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111111111111!!!

  • reminds me of my cadet days....but now im in the army

  • ... the thing about it is that america was fucked up whwn they bombed 2 major cities

  • @Namelessjack14 If USA did not bomb the war will not end in 1945 in Asia and Millions of millions will die in both part is that what you like mr. ignorant, the 2 bomb did not kill 200,000 and the war ended hey read more the authenticated facts Why USA have to nuke Japan i am asian

  • @ceboym Are you? Don't really think so. And they could have bombed military bases as to demonstrate it's power. Not cities with civilians.

  • @TheSancretor Or even, drop it on the see near coast line and than send a message "next one will drop on a city". And that would do the trick as well.

  • @TheSancretor Or even drop it to the sea near coast line. That would be enough.

American government is the only in the world that has nuclear weapons against humanity. Looks like Lucifer needs some souls.

  • damn this is good :/

  • Beautiful I miss playing my trumpet now...

  • this song makes me want to learn trumpet...

  • Even if this is ment as a tribute for the japanese soldiers....I honestly believe that it is a great song to show the true essance of any soldier during those years....It is truely Beautiful and it tells a story with no words... Just amazing.

  • Every time this song starts, I get shivers. I love this song. This song has no words, but it speaks for itself.

  • Who cares how many americans died over there? The americans freaking killed over 500 000 civilians in a nuclear blast! And they think, ''Well we had to do it''. They didnt! If the terrorist used a nuclear bomb on the US then it would be such a big deal, well here's my thought about that. I would laugh! I hate americans, coz they think they are better then they really are, if they would be as good as they say they are, then wth arent the war afghan war over yet!?

  • @AWSwedish we are better an i can say tht proudly as an american citizen and soldier an we did have to do it they wudent give up an if we invaded japan more american lives wud have been lost so to avoid tht we had to break there will to fight an thts wat we did.

  • @deathknot09 Corrupt thinking asshole.

  • @AWSwedish Yah know, I am an american. And I understand we are supposed to have pride. But yah I don't like it here. I agree with you 100% :) I was actully thinking on moveing to your country, one of my friends lives there. And I agree with you we do think we are better then we are. THis isn't a free country anymore we may have more rights but the government dosen't give 2 shits about us :( And it's the cold hard truth.

  • @lifes40123

    and you still lost :P

  • look, i dont wanna be the typical johnny american cowboy, but we had to drop those bombs, otherwise an invasion on the mainland wuld kill alot more, besides that, this movie makes you think about how bad war is, i actually felt like i was pro japan wen i watched this, its about your brothers in arms, and this made me think more of war and the enemy

  • this and flags of our fathers are two of the best movies ever made

  • Amazing Movie, it shows much Drama but it has action

  • Flags of our fathers and letters from iwo jima where two of the best movies i've ever seen.

By Spain

  • @ Elmorancotru . Si señor yo tambien soy de España y estoy de acuerdo cn lo que usted a dicho..

  • me alegro d k aya gente kn cabeza

  • 106,000 American deaths to 1.7 million japanese deaths? Dont mean to be disrespectful but how can shocking odds like that happen? Poor leadership? Maybe. But to have 2 atomic bombs dropped killing another 500,000 civilians, is just incomprehensable

  • Because the japanese war line of thought is "die for my country" and the american line of thought is "fight for my country". Americans didn't think it was dishonerable to back up and live to fight more, and so they died a lot less then the japanese.

  • Yes indeed.

  • @TalonMercenary. japanese had lame ass guns... like the arisaka and they had a gay submachine gun. americans on the other hand had m1 garand and tommy gun. americans were more tactical and stealthier too. same with all other wars they had. in vietnam only 50,000 americans died but millions of viet cong died. less then 5000 americans have died in afghan and iraq. and hundreds of thousands of terrorist has been killed.

  • @lifes40123 ya exactly thats what they dont tell us. Sure around 500 or so brit soldiers have been killed (RIP) but in the news they never tell us that the americans killed over 4000 taliban in 1 operation, im sure that would bring hopes up

  • @lifes40123 it probably has more to do with the japanese mentality than anything. rather die than surrender.

  • Thanks, Jim, for putting the soundtrack music of "Letters From Iwo Jima" on YouTube. It's a moving score to an exceptional Film.

  • You're welcome. ;)

    Thanks for the comment! :)

  • what an amazing song! how beautiful.

  • reminds me of metal gear solid....

  • Both the film and the music is nothing short of amazing! Loved it!

  • Must agree, and also extremly intriguing, Clint Eastwood making a Japanese WW2 Movie. It's brilliant!

  • this song inspired me to remember the people who died in the pacific war. also iwo jima the ameericans called it the land of the rising sun because it was one of the strongest islands.

  • fell sorry for the people who died but they were good fighters

  • Wars are really sad

  • In the memory of the fallen men during the Pacific War of WWII.

    The 106,207 fallen Americans

    December 7, 1941-September 9, 1945

    The 1,740,955 fallen Japanese Men

    July 7, 1937-September 9, 1945

  • your comment is very thoughtful :)

thank you for taking the time to recognize both sides!

  • What about Canadians and British and Austrilians?

  • dude i was talking about someone who posted a casulty statistics i said canadians and british because we fought in the Pacific theatre too

  • It was mostly Americans though

  • Indeed they did. An example would be in the Battle of Hong Kong my fellow Canadians the Winnipeg Grenadiers, Royal Winnipeg Rifles alongside British, Hong Kong Defense Corp, Hong Kong Chinese Regiment etc. I know it's stupid that most movies always almost protray the Americans as the Lone Wolf when it comes to the Pacific Theatre. It's sickening. XP

  • i think you need to calm down american gets them selves into every war thats why they are talked about so much , they do what is right for it is right just like every soldier in the battlefield you have to realise its not jus american fighting

  • Its not like the Commonwealth forces didn't fight in the Pacific Theatre or anything. They just needed the Americans to save their asses from an almost invincible Japanese Army (I can say this because I'm a Canadian and I love the Queen. If not for the Americans in the Pacific, Asia woulda been completley conquered by the Japanese.).

  • It was the Canadians that held the honor of defending the inevitable struggle against the Japanese Imperial Army in Hong Kong. And Asia would've been conquered. Everything except Australia. The Japanese understood that the sizable needed to mount an invasion on Australia was unrealistic to them at rhe time. By the time they extended their empire their forces were already stertched to the breaking point. Too little men defending such a large stretch.

  • The Japanese thought a plausible idea would be to isolate the Australians from the Americans by blockading all incoming vessels.

  • good comment ;)

  • "The death of one is a tragedy, the death of of millions is a statistic."-Joseph Stalin

  • amen!

  • the movie just goes to show that the japs fought for they homeland just as we did

  • In the End I would bet you Smedley Butler was sorry, very sorry he did not help arrest FDR in 1933, as he should have. FDR Recognized the USSR, first Nation to do so was US. Then bumping off Huey P. Long, and then Dec. 7, 1941.

  • dude stfu with all ur fucking conspiracy theories

  • I think that´s the best song in the movie.

    Thanks you.

  • i agree it is a beautifull song. makes me kind of sad to be honest .

  • it makes me realise there is no point in fighting we should protect eachother and ourselves, not one of the sides are going to win, each side has a significant amount of deaths
