Frm the wife of Faust6688-I really can't thank you enuff for posting these videos. There seems to be such little footage of Kings Dominion in VA, where I was so lucky as to go pretty much each year w/my dad from the 1st year they opened & thru the 70s and I remember so much of the rides on here, to see this again has been a gift I cannot thank you enuff for, esp. the HannaBarbera stuff. Peace&Love2U!! :)
thanks for posting this---love the song choices with the videos; I grew up in Mason, rode my bike as a kid where KI is now, went there every year for GE day, worked there my senior year of high school--my kids can't imagine what it was like those early years :)
this was my favorite ride at king's island as a child. in one visit alone I think I rode it at least three times. thanks for posting this. truly priceless footage.
Wow i really miss that old log flume and especially Enchanted Voyage...i am 37 now and still have great memories of Kings Island and Hanna Barbera Land. They have now even removed Scooby from the park and in doing so they may have lost my business...the Beast and the Racer being the only rides i really love that are still there.

dang i keep thinking i rode these rides before Spelunker's Cave, Enchanted Voyage, Knott's Bear-y Tales, and many more from all amusement parks. I was never born to see them. but i keep thinking to myself i seen them but maybe in my past life lol.
This brings back so many memories. The Enchanted Voyage was the only thing I would ride when I was little. I can still remember the song, Happy Friends Who Live In My Tv to this day. And the place was so cool to come in from the heat of summer. In the 80's I went once to KI and turned the corner and found Smurfs had taken over the Enchanted Voyage. I was mad.
I used to daydream all summer about Enchanted voyage. My all time favorite ride at KI!!! This video was AWESOME as it took me right back to my childhood! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!
I have been trying to dream this experience back for at least 10 years. When my father passed we were going through some of the stuff he amassed and found an old KI park map from like '74 and it threw me into all kinds of old memories of going to this magical wonderland. We didn't have Disney - but Kings Island was enough to look forward to throughout the school year and it always payed off when you were dripping sweat hot and you entered The Voyage and let time/space fade away. THANK U MUCH!
Responses like this were what led me to posting it. Like you, Disney was out of reach for me as a kid. We went to King's Island, and it was my favorite place in the world back then.
Enchanted Voyage/Hanna-Barbara boat ride, The Smurf Ride, Phantom Theatre, Scooby's Mystery Machine. I've road them all, and I'm sorry but that building will always and forever be the Enchanted Voyage/Hanna-Barbara boat ride.
My brother and I just watched your WONDERFUL video and now we feel like kids all over again. Thanks for the memories of the Enchanted Voyage! It was our Dad's all-time favorite ride. You did a great job filming it!!!
me too. I loved the enchanted voyage and your vid is the closest I have seen to remember it. I am 34 now, and vaguely remember the birthday cake and the big TV :)
Enchanted Voyage was always my favorite ride, but it was revamped when I was so little. Thanks for the views, as obstructed as they are. What is the music? I really like it.

Even though this is before my time, I really enjoy looking at how Kings Island used to be in its early days. I appreciate it! Thanks!

Agreed about the Smurfs, but that was still better than the Haunted House they have now.
