  • Question: Are White's allowed to join or participate in the "Black Caucus"?

Answer: No, White's are expressly excluded on the basis of skin color from joining or participating in the "Black Caucus."

Tell us again...who are the racist party in this video?

  • Fuckin white people

  • well i guess it must be fun to live in a country with these types of rednecks... ...but i think i will stay in socialist germany and just watch the videos... ...it might not be as funny when one actually lives next to these uneducated teabaggers...

  • The Black KKK needs to invent racism.

  • Black Democrats need to invent racism for sympathy.

  • This video actually proves nothing either way.

  • No evidence, or is there? I was at the sidewalk when Mr. Cleaver and Mr. Lewis' group walked by.One man with them had 2 Blackberries recording the entire time. They would have the evidence.Haven't seen their video, have you? Of course, you haven't. That would expose their lie! Look closely at the video. The man with the Blackberries is at 11 seconds on the left of the group, and at 29 seconds, he is behind the group. Also, if things were so bad, why did the police not clear the steps?

  • If any racist comments were shouted they probably came from tea part trackers hired by the democrats. The left has dug their own grave on this one. Documents found by mainstream media with the DNC and NAACP's plans to 'infilatrate' the Tea Party. How can you believe anything they say now? I'm black, I've been to two tea party rallies, and frankly I've experienced more hostility at the BET awards than a rally.

  • Don't argue a negative cuz it clearly didn't happen! If you or anyone wants to make the claim, then prove it. It's not up to tea partiers to NOT prove it. Idiots.

  • For those of you who say this video does not prove they did not say it, please produce the one that , you say, proves they did say it. Oh, that's right, there isn't one.

  • This proves nothing either way. The only words that I can hear are from the few people near the microphone. Everything else is just white noise and nothing can be discerned. It does not validate that the n word was used nor does it invalidate.

  • at second 44-45 you can clearly hear someone yell the "n" word. So tell Breitbart I want my check.

  • @OswaldvonWolkenstein AHHHHH i think what you head was a brain FART you had. anyone who makes he clain can't show the any proof. it's very clear all tea party are defending whats called THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION AHHH TRY READING IT IF YOU CAN READ. this is what america stands for freedom to SPEAK OUT . when one has a disagreemnet with the government as in this case health care . if your left wing moonbats can't get it . reeducate yourself.

  • @46singledad46 what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. May God have mercy on your soul."

  • Comment removed

  • so they are defending the Constitution with racism? The Obama administration has enacted no violations of the Constitution. Obama is a Professor of Constitutional Law. The Bush administration, however, continually asserted executive power beyond the Constitution. Where were you then? At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone who read your response is now dumber for having been exposed to it.

  • @OswaldvonWolkenstein obamas war in libya is unconstitutional, the patriot act that obama enabled is unconstitutional, you are blind.

  • @qualityrkc The USA PATRIOT Act (commonly known as the "Patriot Act") is an Act of the U.S. Congress that was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001. - The Lybian Conflict is constitutional like the Korean War launched by President Truman in 1950. President Clinton's Kosovo intervention in 1999. W. Bush in Haiti (2004), Bosnia (1995), Haiti (1994), Somalia (1992), Panama (1989), Libya (1986), Lebanon (1982), and Iran (1980).

  • @OswaldvonWolkenstein

Ditto - I can clearly hear the word in question at that point in the video. Anyone who says they cannot is being disingenuous.

Hey, maybe it was Michael Richards.

  • @boardbox21 No, no you didn't hear it "clearly" or otherwise.

So, tell me...with all those tea party people, who some describe as red-neck, in-bred, fools, you're saying that not even one of them recorded these slurs and are now NOT willing to give them up for Breitbart's reward? Wow, those must be some loyal in-breeds.

  • How racist! They said "kill the "bill", obviously meaning "lynch the coloreds". White people sure are evil... how dare anyone disagree with a protected class of people with special privileges and increased access to education, employment and media attention when someone does taboo evil Caucasian things like thinking for themselves. You should all be ashamed and keep voting democrat until all the whites are dead. Amen.

  • At about :45 you can hear a Tea Partier shout the n word.

  • @WeirdLiberalHead No,..no you can't. No one can hear it, unless you happen to have "Super Liberal-Race-Baiting Hearing"

  • I would pay to be security or Secret Service. I would whip some Teabag ass.

  • This is what our politics has devolved into, hate-filled dumbfucks screaming at a congressman who has more education in his pinky finger than the entire crowd, just disgusting.

  • @Octane64 I have fired people with more education than me, just because you have rich parents or college funds does not make you any more competent than anyone else. Have you seen what the MexiKlan has been teaching in the LA school district for the last 20 years?

Watch my videos called reconquista and you won't need a top of the line audio editing suite to single out the racism they say openly at their anti-white hate fests.

  • As someone else posted, 45 seconds into the clip. Right after one hears a man yell kill the bill near the camera, the n word can be heard in the background.

  • 0:45 clear as day, the N-word.

  • @zenbeer

    you have excellent hearing.

i could not hear a thing.

  • @zenbeer

I wondered if anyone else heard that, right as the man with the glasses and pink tie walks past the camera near the end.

The sound is so rough, that at other points, it could be heard, but harder to say with as much certainty.

  • @boardbox21 Again...look at all the people there...all the cameras.....all the reporters that were there. And the only thing you have is "mayby" "I think I can hear it when...."

  • @cyclingtj

Mincing with my words. not sure what your point is - "All the reporters that were there." What do you mean?

  • @boardbox21 Yeah, you're probably right. I mean, its Washington, D.C., a large group of citizens demonstrating, Hot Button topic. Yeah, there probably weren't any reporters there. And if they were there, they all just probably forgot to bring any kind of recording devices. Happens all the time.

Yeah that's it, that's the ticket. That's why that out of all the people there, there is no recording of someone shouting nigger. Oh wait, did you hear that? It sounded ...........

  • i hear a bunch of boos this must be racist. cearly those white racist are trying to say jigaboo

  • Wonder why the media is largely ignoring the story of the black caucus trying to gut the ethics bill? To many of them have been snagged for violations and want to change the bill.

  • @gmoon6262

I'm racist? What tipped you off? Whites are getting used to being called racist and will sooner rather than later ignore your faggoty and cowardly name-calling in favor of action.

  • @MClown69

No shit. Anti-Whites are a penny a dozen and just as valuable. I used to be an anti-White dipshit just like you. Everyone who went to college was fed the same old crap so don't pat your back too hard.

  • So lets see. The black caucus had no problem going to Cuba and singing the praise of a murderous dictator like Castro. The black caucus is part of a party that stood and applauded a foreign leader that came to our country to complain and criticize our laws. But let some Americans that happen to be white try to voice concerns with peaceful protest and they are vilified. This is pitiful the black caucus tried to race bait these people. The only racist I see here is the caucus.

  • Democrats = Communist

  • THOSE POOR VICTICS

  • Not a single racist comment. I put on my headsets and REALLY tried to listen for a single slur. The leftwing idiots that automatically unleash these nonsensical claims are the REAL racist morons. They should really be ashamed of themselves.

  • @drj90210 Hey idiot: This video was made more than an hour after the comments were made. Don't you know how to use google?

  • @Nooptu What the fuck are you talking about moron?! I responded to the video, after scanning it thoroughly, and came to the only logical conclusion that can be made: THERE ARE NO RACIAL SLURS AUDIBLE IN THIS VIDEO!!!!

  • @Nooptu Dear idiot,

I know how to use google very well: Nowhere on the internet can I find video/audio proof of racial slurs at this rally. Do YOU know how to use google, because if you are so freakin' sure of yourself, why can't YOU provide a link of video/audio of these alleged "racial slurs?" The answer is because such racial slurs were never spoken, and you're a certified moron who could care less about the truth.

  • @drj90210 Can't you read you idiot??: THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN AFTER THE RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC STATEMENTS WERE MADE-- This is a fact that even a moron could find if he wasn't a two-bit brainwashed teabagger moron. Why don't you try using google to research some facts for once in your pathetic life?

    - So for the LAST TIME retard: This video was made later in the day AFTER the racist and homophobic comments were made!! THEREFORE THERE IS NO SUCH VIDEO!!

    -

Now stop sucking on the teabagger koolaid!!

  • @Nooptu Listen moron! If this video was taken "after the statements were made," then WHERE THE HELL IS THE VIDEO OR AUDIO OF THE STATEMENT?!!.....Oh yeah, it's because such statments NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED YOU FUCKING LOSER!!! There were thousands of video cameras at the event, and you so convieniently state that "there is no such video." Without any shred of evidence, you and your mindless ilk are nothing but a bunch of liars who slanders anyone who you disagree with. Absolutely PATHETIC!!!

  • @drj90210 BOTTOM LINE: TEABAGGERS ARE A BUNCH OF DUMB, RACIST, HOMOPHOBIC MORONS.

    -

You KNOW THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE FACT, because you are spending so much time trying to deny the REALITY of it. SO KEEP ATTENDING YOUR ALL-WHITE RALLIES, KEEP BACKING LEGISLATION THAT TARGETS LATINOS AND ETHNIC STUDIES, KEEP BACKING RETARDS LIKE SARAH PALIN AND GLENN BECK, AND KEEP BRINGING YOUR GUNS TO RALLIES.

    -

YOU ARE HAVE BEEN OWNED. YOU INBREDS WERE CAUGHT YELLING "NIGG@R" AND "F@GGOT" ON NATIONAL TV.

    -

    PERIOD!

  • @Nooptu You and your brainwashed ilk are nothing but race-baiting losers. You project your racism onto others. You have NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER of teaparty attendees being racist (or even the least bit unruly for that matter), but you call them "racist." It is YOU and your idiot left wing lunatic fringe that are the racist morons. If you cannot provide a shred of evidence to support your stupid allegations, then you should SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

  • @Nooptu Idiots like you really make me laugh. Left-wingers like you support affirmative action (the only system of racism left in America), and yet you call others "racist" without any shred of evidence. You are against the Arizona law because it forces suspected illegals to show their proof of citizenship, but are total fine with the healthcare law which forces AMERICANS to show proof that they bought insurance. You are against the 2nd Amendment because you fear inanimate objects. PATHETIC!

  • @drj90210 Im not from usa. but world loves obama and the leftwing to lead AMERICA, because those are the guys who sit with all political knowledge. Do not forget you rightwing nutcases started two wars and has lead the world into a financial crisis

  • @oANWARoo What in the world does this video have to do with "wars?" How about trying to stay remotely on topic Einstein? The "financial crisis" was started by LEFT-WING policies like predatory lending and the subprime morgage fiasco, printing too much money, and an unwillingness to cut unnecessary spending. Get a clue.

  • @drj90210 what about tax cuts for the richest people and a bunch of wars? that didnt help. This crisis was bipartisan. The dems and the repubs are putting on a show for you. They have the same agenda.

  • @qualityrkc What in the world does "tax cuts" and "wars" have to do with the video or my comments, both of which regarding a false allegation of racism!? Jeez, please stay remotely on topic here.

  • @drj90210 You can hear someone yell "n-----r" at the 0:43 - 0:45 mark.

  • @202pdiddy I again tried to listen for this (even turned the volume way up), but I heard nothing of the sort.

  • @drj90210 You need to have your ears checked. Someone yells "N____r!" at exactly 0:44 in this video.

  • I hear it them say it once. By a woman.

  • i love protestors, even if they are wrong, USE IT OR LOOSE IT

  • Ok, so at 44 seconds, I heard "Losers" screamed out. I guess if your trying real hard you could pretend that it says something other than that.

  • @dsltnega You're saying that at :44 it's "loser"? Sorry, but it's clearly an "i" sound there and not a long "o" sound. Even if the guy had a strange accent or something, no way that's "loser". When I first watched this video I wasn't expecting to hear anything, and I hadn't even read these comments yet. The word "n----r" is shouted distinctly at 0:44.

  • So the fact we can't hear one person talking in this poorly recorded video, with shitty audio is "proof" the tea party is racially diverse and accepting? I saw ONE non-white tea partier in this video... out of a rather large crowd. Hardly diverse. And if the slurs were used, do you REALLY think we'd be able to hear them over that insanely annoying screaming going on the background?

  • @AmishMarine1 The Tea Party movement doesn't care about diversity. Unlike the left (despite their claims), they realize that race is totally irrelevant. The reason you don't see a lot of blacks at Tea Party protests is because most blacks support Obama (look at the election results). But plenty of Blacks and Hispanics do show up to the rallies and they are never harassed or run off.

  • @spades2 That's right RACE IS NOT AN ISSUE like it is with communists, who use it like a human shield. Smart minorities know this and hate to be patronized. The real racists are on the left.

  • @NHTPC You jerks are still using buzz words like "communist"?? That old red baiting trick died with your hero Senator Joseph McCarthy!!

  • Consider also; how did we get into a depression to begin with?

Was it wall-street fat cats? No. Actually it was government provided housing for low income families which they promoted to wall-street and claimed they would repay.

Unfortunately low income families can't pay rent and the government found it easier to blame the decline on wall-street investors then pay their end.

So what do we end up with; a government crisis blamed on the rich to be solved by giving the government more power.

  • @bloodrunsclear Heh Heh so Section 8 Housing for the poor brought down this nation?

It is pretty much accepted that many things destroyed Wall St. Much of it was Wall St!

Hey Section8 also lead to the GM bailouts too? Lol

Cite your proof or accept being an idiot!

  • Why yes.

Of course! I mean, who is the government pointing the blame at?

Who will you believe...the facts or the government?

All the proof you need has been sent via private message.

I must be an idiot for questioning the government though...must I be?

  • @bloodrunsclear Hey bloodrunsclear! Who was the publisher of that "INCOMPLETE" piece of shit?

NO ONE is the publisher since it's a work in progress!

    GET US SOMETHING PUBLISHED!

That like me writing a paper on how the "Teabaggers are a bunch of Timothy McVeigh lites" and then passing it off as something creditable! Oops! ...they are!

  • I see.

So I present a article that, complete or not, is official.

You gabble the same hate speech, agree with yourself and call it credible.

I'm beginning to wonder the purpose in arguing with you. It makes me feel rotten, like I'm taking advantage.

  • @bloodrunsclear Official what?- piece of shit?

Everything you see in print that you agree with is official?

There is NO purpose in arguing with me if you are going to ligitimize anything that you can GRAB off the Univ of Chicago website!

You're dealing with intelligence above college frat boy

Would you care to argue against the points I made about your Heritage Foundation?

  • You don't? I think you'll find more often the not the mainstream media agrees with YOUR position.

What do you present as finding proving your point? The rich people in positions of educational clout who are shills for the President, or the faux grass root sympathizers who are shills for the president?

  • this is funny. these people have everything and are complaining about the "less fortunate" getting some aid from the government. well, not everyone is fortunate to be in front of congress all day and all week, shouting bullsh*t, some people have to work and live check to check, week after week. these clowns need a reality check, the lifestyle in this country is expensive and somebody has to pay for it.

  • Unfortunately, i did hear nigger being said in this video at 0:44. I lean particularly to the right but if this was said it is sad. Let me know what every one else thinks. Crank up your speakers and listen at 0:44, I could be wrong.

  • @VoR8705

i caught that too, before even seeing your comment. 0:44 is definitely a blatant "NIGGER!"

  • @visualkei72 ... i think your hearing want you want to.

  • @MarkEDenman

i think you're being too optimistic.

  • @MarkEDenman It's obvious to me that he's saying Cleaver. The tone he uses when speaking is more consistent with saying someones name to get their attention than a more harsh tone in calling him anything.

  • @visualkei72 I heard "Cleaver!" You do know that the mans name is Emmanuel Cleaver right? Thank god Michael Dukakis wasn't in the crowd!

  • @downthedrain08 It's typical of clueless fools, such as yourself, to be so hateful and ignorant to the views of good, hardworking people that are PAYING THEIR OWN WAY. Gov't spending to support socio-economic parasites (based on your numerous, childish posts here - I'd bet you are one) is destroying the USA. But since you must hate the USA, you continue your line of misguided thought and we'll see how long you make it. IF YOU CAN'T TEACH IT, RAISE IT OR FEED IT -DON'T BREED IT! FOOLS!

  • @downthedrain08 What's "your world"? Hiding in mommy's basement on your computer, sipping koolaid and sucking down dingdongs? Get a clue - FOOL! Your comments are childish at best. Are you 12 years old?

  • @SevenZulu Heh Heh speaking of 12yrs old, How many degress do you have....Oh don't count your GED or the 2yr Community College Degree from that Trailer Park University!

  • Good lord, you're still on about this 'my education is bigger the yours' bit.

How about some points, some arguments, so proofs or considerations?

    Are you even capable?

  • It strikes me as ironic that you continually refer to the evil tea partiers as begin selfish and bigoted...yet your statements reveal your bias against the US, and your protests against the war all seem to be because you see no personal benefit.

    I'd consider these factors carefully.

  • And yes, I think union members have proven on the whole to be thugs.

That's not racism, that's called experience and learning from it.

  • That and I'd like to see you field strip a sniper rifle under mortar fire faster then those poor 'stupid soldiers'.

Likewise your statement it would be 'un PC' to say soldiers are stupid. You've got it backwards.

Look at any movie: Green Zone, Avatar, Lions for Lambs, The Hurt Locker...

  • It might seem like bias on my part given I'm a Caucasian and not a 'minority' (a word that frankly I never felt meant a great deal) and to be honest the only racism I've encountered, even in my inner city education, was directed at my race. I saw racism casually slung about by authentic minorities as a form of endearment, but the only scorching racism with true hate behind it was white hate. On the railings around my house is written 'Fuck Whitey'.

Its hard to take this tea bag concern seriously

  • Today (4/14/10) Associated Press Says:

    -

[Conservative Andrew] Breitbart posted two columns on his Web site saying the claims were fabricated. Both led with a 48-second YouTube video. . .

    -

A reconstruction of the events shows that the conservative challenges largely sprang from a mislabeled video that was shot later in the day. . .at least one hour after Lewis, D-Ga., and Carson walked to the Capitol, which is when they said the slurs were used.

    -

THIS VIDEO IS A FRAUD - END OF STORY!!!

  • Haha breibert falls on his face once again...so this is the "famous" ( infamous)video that was shot ONE HOUR after the fact??? breibert, ever the GOP shill seems to have a probelm with facts...LOL!!!! What a repuke wiggler!!!

  • You should collect on that money then!

  • 0:44 Its perfectly clear someone yells the "N" word

  • @loganpthomas

    Yup

  • Ok I imagine it's a little alarming for some members of congress when they mess up on something (as they usually do) to actually be confronted about it. How do you direct the glare of the public eye? You accuse the other party of RACISM! Way to go! This is obviously the easy thing to do, why don't you do the RIGHT thing and get over it (a name is just a name I've been called worse than a Nigger). Move on obviously the people of America are not pleased. Do something about it!

  • theres not as much racism in this world as the media makes it out to be...i hate to say but black people still think white people are racist being white having many black friends i can actualy say that black people are more racist then white people just my own opinion

  • @TechXRenAgadeX I agree with you completely! I'm white and was raised in an African American community and my whole family dealt with racist acts because of the color of our skin even by so called educators. We were ran out of the neighborhood because of the violent acts toward us. I was taught to look at people based on their character and I learned quickly that racism is an illness, related to a lack of emotional intelligence.

  • Continued: Seriously, and generally speaking, if you are tied to this emotion, you need to check YOURSELF! No one can think clearly caught up in blind scornful emotion. Look at the medias game being played and depth of what these Tea Party people are saying and get off this superficial bandwagon. Are we still that immature as American people?

  • Looks like another effort to distract people. We all need to wake up and realize that certain so called reputable media outlets are still "promoting" racism amongst the smallest of minds and this is a distraction! Just ask yourself out of all that could be discussed regarding these protests why is it that these media outlets choose to splatter "I heard the N-word at a Tea Party rally!" or how about "A kid told blacks to leave Wal-mart!" Go look for yourself, there's more.

  • Fact: why is it that black congressmen have No problem spending Our hard earned tax dollars?

  • If you listen closely to :44 it sounds like somebody yells out the N-word

  • The real truth:

The Congressional Black Caucus walked through the crowd with no violence. This proves that the tea partier's are non violent.

  • hmmm, that's funny I heard absolutly 0 racial slurs. Also a funny thing, Democrates just can't seem to stop lying and throwing out the race card. They are convinced everyone is out to get them. Perhaps if they held some reasonable morals and didn't lie every other word people wouldn't hate them so much. (No racial slurs here by *them* i mean democrates, or demon-rats. Either way*)

  • i was there and i DID hear racial slurs.

  • Well, I guess that means everyone in that crowd is a racist!

All of them should be arrested >:/

  • @bloodrunsclear

not true, i was there and not all teabaggers are racist. most of them are though.

  • Most of them are racists? Or maybe they're just pissed off at grandstanding, money grubbing politicos, no matter their skin color?

Again, racism in the modern sense has proved to mean 'Any statement directed at black people by white people'

I wonder, would it be racist if black protesters had called white politicians 'crackers' or 'white bread'?

  • @bloodrunsclear

i don't think it's very controversial to say most teabaggers are racist. i concluded this when i realized they sat silent for the past 8 years. only when a black man is elected do they suddenly start frothing at the mouth and questioning some pretty modest changes.

  • Of course its not controversial. That's why they're called 'protesters' because they're against the media, the politicians, and everyone who want them in a bad light.

Its like saying its not controversial to say GOPs in general are the spawn of satan.

Modest changes...hmmm...I'm going to randomly assume you're a progressive?

  • @bloodrunsclear

'progressive' is an understatement...i'm a full-blown marxist. i only realized that in the past year but if rush limbaugh says it's true, well i guess it is! :)

  • Then yours is a fair, unbiased opinion :)

Funny, I don't listen to Rush. I go by people being capable of running their own lives without government controlling them, by the belief people have to right to speak their minds even if the popular opinion is against what they have to say.

Of course a Marxist wouldn't know anything about freedom of speech of life I suppose...

  • @bloodrunsclear

of course i know about freedom (it is good to know one's enemy...)

  • Um...what?

I seem to recall Marxism being about the people being FREE from oppression by joining together in a self sufficient community.

Are you honestly telling me you're all for something more like the dictatorship of the USSR?

  • @bloodrunsclear

that's what limbaugh says since i support universal healthcare...

i'm only saying i'm a marxist due to what rush limbaugh says, i think he knows more about politics than i do. though honestly i've never read marx's books.

  • Um...you randomly went to the opposite extreme because you disagree with someone on the other extreme?

If you take my advice you'll consider the issues and try to devise a moderate stance based on the facts, rather then being buffeted one way or another by popular opinion.

  • @bloodrunsclear

it's kinda how i was raised though, basically if someone is being a bigot then i should be the opposite side of him to balance out the universe.

  • Go watch any broadcast by a guy named Keith Ulberman, or Bill Maher, or practically anything on CNN.

You find that one radical on the right is 'counterbalanced' already...by a thousand on the left.

Likewise, whens the last time you saw a good Conservative/Christian/American/Capitalist in a movie?

    Television show?

  • @bloodrunsclear

good point, but i think it is my duty as a human being to counter bigotry with tolerance, and i'm not even a Christian (i'm atheist)...

as to your 2nd part, i don't think you have to be Christian to be a good person. look at me, i try to promote tolerance and compassion for the poor but not because i want to get a good seat in Heaven, but because i think i need to balance out the universe against people who piss on the poor and downtrodden..

being good to others is universal!

  • Well, I'm glad at least you admit Christianity is not a tool of world conquest (as everyone in my city seems to think)

Being good to others actually isn't universal I think you'll find. Its a rare and precious thing to desire.

If you'd like we can discuss why I see being an atheist conflicting with that.

You have to consider things full well before there can be understanding, logical reasoning even when it goes to uncomfortable conclusions I think.

  • @bloodrunsclear

i have no beef with Christianity, since most of my friends are Christians and are the nicest people in the world. i don't really care to get into a debate about the supposed inferiority of my religion...er, irreligion, since i honestly don't care to push atheism as a choice on anyone. i do see where atheism can conflict with kindness, since it's not like we have a place to meet on Saturdays or have one uniform book that proscribes the golden rule or anything. but i digress...

  • That's good. I grew up with it basically shoved down my throat so my bias might be a little askew :/

The main issue I have is with the paradigm of morality, since I see Atheism revolving around natural law...and I see natural law as being contrary to human morality...but yes...continue.

  • @bloodrunsclear

atheists just want to be left alone, or at least the non-dickish ones do. there are the churlish atheists/anti-theists like richard dawkins who get all the attention (and for the most part it's negative attention).

i would rather take the good parts of religion and irreligion and combine them to form my philosophy, which is why i guess i'm into the positive parts of Christianity and secularism. but i do get how atheism can be used as an excuse to commit evil.

  • That is a relief, and I'm glad to meet an atheist who will not condemn my family as machete wielding fanatics because we say grace before dinner. Thank you :D

You do seem to have a level head concerning philosophy and religion :)

  • Have you ever wondered why people might so vehemently protest this healthcare bill?

Hint: Its not because the president is black...

  • @bloodrunsclear

i think it is because the guy pushing it is black/liberal.

like 10 years ago the GOP tried to push the same shitty bill and no teabaggers whined about it.

  • No, and if you looked into the bill you'd see the differences.

Don't let the popular opinion guide your own. Do some research.

We weren't fond of it when Bush was doing the same thing.

Only difference is that protesting Bush was hip and awesome.

Protest Obama? You must hate him because he's black!

  • @bloodrunsclear

um, i am a deep skeptic of the bill because it does not help minorities enough.

teabaggers on the other hand are skeptical about the bill because it helps minorities.

  • Um...no...they're skeptical because they have to pay tons of cash for it, see no benefits, and are hurting from the economic collapse as is thanks to governmental mistakes to begin with.

You really think there are people out there hellbent and unreasonably angry at people because of their skin color?

I can tell you the only bigotry I see in the news, on this page, is white hatred.

  • @bloodrunsclear

i will admit that there is some skepticism due to the cost, but look at all the other programs USA has pushed in the past few decades: wars to defend our freedom at any cost (hehe), bank bailouts, tax cuts, deindustrialization, outsourcing, etc.

what i'm saying is that the teabaggers have been silent on issues you would think they should be going apeshit against. that's why as a minority i look at them with a raised brow and think maybe there is something else at play...

  • 'Heh heh?'

Name another cause for the Iraq war other then freedom please.

Halliburton? Please. Oil? Right, look at the massive supply and low cost!

No, the republicans have been having issues with all these problems, but the Tea Baggers is a new ground swell of regular citizens energized at the prospect of government controlled healthcare. The news is only covering them now since they make the perfect whipping post; poor, white trash, bible thumpers who hate black people.

    You don't even see...

  • @bloodrunsclear

"heh heh" was in reference to the actual soldiers themselves, who don't seem like the smartest bulbs if you ask me. (a smarter person would find a way to not end up in the army...but i digress).

i think if you take a look at the demographics of the teabaggers, you will find them to be mostly white and in opposition to policies (community reinvestment act, medicaid, welfare reform, immigration reform) that help minorities. racism is an inseperable part of anti-progressivism.

  • You're not getting away with that. Some of my friends are soldiers and could likely show you a thing or two in most areas of life. They have the benefit of training.

They are not the cartoons James Cameron has in his movie Avatar >:/

    Racism is inseparable from anti-progressivism?

So...progressives who consider everything in terms of race and place value on race itself are themselves NOT racist in your opinion?

Your horizons need to be considerably broadened.

  • @bloodrunsclear

didn't mean to offend you regarding soldiers, but to me they are not the sharpest tools in the shed, which i hope they are not too P.C. to deny. soldiers should not be coddled or lied to. they are warriors, their job is to follow orders and kill the enemy and not feel remorse or intellectual objection anyway. that is why we give them the benefit of the doubt when they commit questionable acts. they're good at what they do. but smart....eh, not imho.

  • You want soldiers to admit they are not smart. Sorry, marines would tell you they are warrior/scholars. American soldiers feel plenty of remorse and intellectual objection thanks. Watch the series Generation Kill to know how much.

Questionable acts is an organization called Crash the Tea Party, where liberals dress as sterotypical white people and carry specially made racist signs while spouting epithets, just to make the tea parties look bad.

  • @bloodrunsclear

i'm not so sure about that, if a soldier is not smart enough to know how to not end up in the military with the potential to die for his country (it's 2010, anyone who would volunteer to die for nothing is...well in my book is...a warrior but not all that bright).

and yes i think the crash the tea party thing is idiotic. teabaggers don't need help in looking bigoted against gays, Mexicans, blacks, Muslims, Kenyans, union members, etc...

  • Or maybe they have guts and a sense of honor.

Die for nothing? What do you live for unless you're willing to die for something?

And apparently the tea party DOES need help to be racist and irrelevant if liberals have to go out of their way to make them look bad...

  • @bloodrunsclear

we can lie to them all we want and tell them they have guts and honor (i myself think they are warriors -- stupid, but still warriors. the sloganeering "What do you live for unless you're willing to die for something?" sounds good on a video game's promotional materials. it's not really relevant in the current wars, since the occupation of both iraq and afghanistan is hopelessly naive and irrelevant to my individual liberty.

  • Irrelevant? Occupation?

Pal, look to real soldiers for your info, not the press with an agenda.

Over there they're rooting out bombers who have proven time and again they're willing to blow up airplanes, embassies, dress as soldiers and kill civilians, and all of this so murderous warlords can rule the world.

As for occupation, go check. No oil fields for the US. Iraq is under its own government, elected via democratic vote.

You have the benefit of decadence to be so naive yourself.

  • @bloodrunsclear

well my reason for not "looking to real soldiers" for my info is that they are not smart enough, imho, to know that they are being used as political pawns. at the end of the day it is they who are naive, not myself. i would include the press as also being naive, since many in the media still believe that the war was fought for defending us from terrorists.

in fact, places like afghanistan and iraq are distractions and terrorists can always go elsewhere to plan operations.

  • Ah yes, unlike you who denounce an entire group based on stereotypes.

How are you not naive? Have you ever come under fire? Seen someone die in front of you? They have experiences God willing you will never have...to make sure you never do.

Many in the media...mind pointing out a few? Fox doesn't count.

So, would you not be upset if the military went to that 'elsewhere'?

Or should the US do anything to avoid war, even surrender our ideals?

  • @bloodrunsclear

um, how is it naivete to say it think warriors are stupid? if anything it's an informed judgment based on my observations of the past 8 years.

and yes, i think war should be avoided at all costs. war is the result of stupidity at the end of the say.

  • Its naivete because you make a blanket assumption about an entire group based on stereotype. It would be naive to assume that all liberals or all conservatives own televisions, are white, or live in Kansas. It painting a whole group with a big sloppy brush stroke.

As for them being stupid, you consider selfless action involving the risk of life and limb foolish? Then equally stupid are construction workers, firemen, and aid workers.

As for war being the result of stupidity, look into WW2...

  • @bloodrunsclear

hmm. i would think naivete is thinking that soldiers are smart and not trained killers.

  • Naivete is thinking you can't be both actually.

  • You can look again and see the news story of a black teapartier (tea bagger is such an infantile term) who brought a gun to a rally to support the right to bear arms.

Likewise have you even considered WHY people might oppose medicaid, immigration reform, welfare reform beyond racism?

The answer is money. Do you have a magic way of calling that up to spend on this mismanaged programs tied up in red tape beyond taxing lower income families?

    I'd like to hear it.

  • @bloodrunsclear

i guess my point is, there are certain programs where minorities are being helped by expanding said programs (medicaid, immigration reform, welfare, etc) and the tea party activists kind of pick and choose what programs they rail against, always ending up opposing things that help minorities (the above programs, health services, regulations on wall street, affordable housing lending programs etc) and ignoring ones that don't (defense budget, medicare, etc).

  • They protest plenty else like gun control and higher taxes, neither of which has much to do with minorities at all.

Defense budget? You mean we should campaign against defending our country, even as our president dismantles our nuclear arsenal?

You might notice the news loves to report on things that seem to counteract minorities.

    This is called race baiting.

  • @bloodrunsclear

gun control and higher taxes do help minorities though. 13 people are killed each day in the inner city. i think gun laws that work in a city are irrelevant to jimbob's unfounded conspiracy theories that The Man is gonna take away his guns. The Man is more interested in making sure jimbob's crops are subsidized!

we should indeed lower our defense budget, when was the last time we actually used it to defend our country? been a few decades at least.

  • First off, it is fascinating to me someone can talk about racism and then refer to white people as 'Jimbob'. Sure goes a long way to proving my theory that racism in a modern context means 'white vs black' only...and is exclusively a weapon of the left.

Likewise the defense budget ensures you don't have to hear about all the terrorists and spies our military dispose of and lock away before they become a problem. Last year my city would have been blown to hell without it.

    No news of course...

  • @bloodrunsclear

"jimbob" was a reference to an anxious white guy in RURAL america as opposed to the inner city, i should have made that more clear.

anyhoo, i seriously doubt we need to spend untold trillions on bombs to keep "terrorists" and spies locked away. in the long run, spending too much on pointless wars has bankrupted every empire. not to mention, warmongering will only create more extremism, not stop it.

a smarter policy would be talking to our enemies.

  • Ah, I see, discrimination is fine as long as its made specific.

Maybe the protester in this video is only calling this one money grubbing politico an 'n word'.

If only the protesters were liberal! Then all would be forgiven.

Pointless war? I think 9/11 and the bombings in Russia and Spain are rather good proof its not pointless.

As for talking to our enemies, here's what they want to do.

    -Destroy Israel

    -Kill Americans

    -Subjugate woman

    Sorry, we don't agree.

  • @bloodrunsclear

meh, going to war against terrorism is imho pointless because if the goal is to stop terrorism, it will never be achieved. while i don't think hardcore fanatics can be talked to, i don't think the issue should be approached solely militarily.

most of the people who are now inflamed against USA were radicalized by USA's actions in middle east. it's not like we were innocent on 9/10.

  • I seem to remember a great deal of people believing Russia could never be stopped, Japan...Germany.

Who determines the hardcore fanatics? It might be interesting to you that we may have tortured suspects in the Bush years, but in the Obama years we just blow them to pieces with unmanned drones. Much more humane.

So we deserve everything we get.

I can see why Bush said 'If you're not with us, you're against us'

  • @bloodrunsclear

i think different belligerents must be treated differently. degrees of violence are not the same for all parties. it's a bit more complex than saying "good vs evil," "good guys vs bad guys," "with us or against us."

but i do agree that USA was cruising for a bruising prior to 9/11 so it should not have been a surprise to anyone.

  • Lets see, a man carrying 'Don't Tread on Me' flags was beaten by union thugs, a brick was thrown through republican headquarters, a couple was beaten unconscious in New Orleans for wearing Sarah Palin stickers...

I'm relatively certain these were not conservative attackers.

It wasn't a surprise, but nations do get jealous when you're the freest and most powerful around. That's like blaming the Blitz on England.

  • @bloodrunsclear

not sure what your union thug thing is in reference to, usually union members are on the receiving end of beatings, so i kinda applaud this if it happened, which i doubt. same with the palin thing, i think that was a hoax too. please make sure not to get your news from blogs, where stories are not sourced and any allegations can be made and taken as fact.

as far as 9/11, jealousy had nothing to do with it. read OBL's fatwas, he blamed USA's meddling in middle east.

  • What I mean is people sent by a union to dispose of a protest rally. There's a lot of money to be made in boycotts.

Go look up the events. They're real. Just because the papers didn't report them doesn't mean they didn't happen.

So you don't take news from blogs...but terrorists are to be trusted completely.

    You define the modern American.

  • @bloodrunsclear

be careful not to fall into the trap of scapegoating unions. that is a classic ploy by corporations, using blogs as their mouthpieces. always make sure to check the news regarding stories about unions and union violence.

  • How silly of me. The only people we can scape goat are tea partiers and republicans.

How do you know the unions aren't having you on?
