I don't think Psyclon Nine is considered industrial, though. EBM or aggrotech, maybe. And in fact lot of original industrial bands didn't use too much sound effects or programmed beats at all... mostly banging on oil tanks and such. Programmed beats are a more contemporary thing, mostly with EBM bands. The voice effects though, that's been used for a long time, and it never takes away from how good the band is.

Aggrotech is a type of industrial, just like electroindustrial or EBM... and yes Psyclon Nine is industrial, i mean if you consider programmed beats not industrial then you're going to have to rule out skinny puppy and ministry's early stuff too

Ive just noticed the band, and if its so that he's using some interferance with his voice I´d belive its something more in the lines of adding or "helping" the voice to sound like that. Its not really HARD to sing like that I suppose, I mean theres alot of metal bands and the like who have singers who does this kind of growlsing. I don't think its fake, not really no.

Personally I don't think music depends solely on how good the quality of someone's voice is. It's about catchy riffs, stage presence and absolutely fucking bitching lyrics.

P9 sucks big balls. he uses a roland effects box to get his voice to sound like that. he doesnt even really scream. he uses
a pitch shifter and turs it up a few notches. i worked on his sound duig a concert. a friend of mine screamed on the mic with him...and it nearly blew the speakers...becuase i had to jack up his channel so much because the effect was so low...even after i had it compressed.
no it doesn't matter. but i have seen several people comment that they love his voice. i'm just stating that its not his unique voice that its merely an effect.
Whatever makes you think they meant his real voice? They like the overall vocals, whatever they are the result of. Besides, I think it's obvious that it's an effect; you don't have to bash their music just for that. :\
