All canadates that run should be running with all the issues they run on be put in writing, and the promises they make should be binding contracts, that if violated should cause that canadates actions to be voided and there term terminated. As a worker, if you do not do your job and lie about your capabilities and jobs practices you will be fired, and so to the holders of public office must be when they violate the public trust by bold face lies and deceat.
The access to the public can be done at very very low cost once you decide the elections are part of society and make it all not for profit ventures. Right now everything concerned with elections are cash cows for the for profit media hoars, both on corporate CEO level and even the rank and file talking head and reporter. The right for the public to know who that person is on the ballet goes to the root of a representative democractic republic.
All elections should be advertized only on free venues. The internets, and youtube would be perfect venues for all advertizing of canadates. So there should be no madison ave advertizing allowed for any public office. No commercial advertizing at all. Set venues for all canadates they all must use exclusively.
