Plus tricolour flags usually represents the country and it's colours unlike the old Prussian flag where it just stood for the monarchy. It is a cool flag though.

Preußen und der Nationalsozialismus stehen in einem absoluten Gegensatz. Preußen steht für die Hoheit des Staates, für die Idee, daß der Staat die gesamten Interessen der Zivilgesellschaft in sich aufnimmt. Für die Nazis war das unvorstellbar, sie wollten ein völkisches Gebilde an die Stelle des Staates setzen.

To say the English are basically Germans is akin to saying they're basically Celts, Scandanavians, Romans, or French. All technically correct, but England is greater than the mere sum of it's historical parts.
@IscariotXIII The Romans abandoned Britain in 410AD to defend Italy, then the Saxons (Germans/English) arrived and displaced the Celts to where they currently live and then the Vikings came and were basically absorbed over time - so the English ARE basically German. Calling someone British is a different matter however.

The reason I love Poland is because my best friend is Polish and I'm very interested in Slavic culture. And it's really easy to fly to Poland from Stuttgart or Munich. And also because our two countries share a lot of history and culture.

Also, the best name of any country in history is "Prussia" in my opinion. It sounds so powerful and imperial.

I was under the impression that the Germans aren't allowed to field an army,, it was one of the conditions of the surrender,,, the only have civilian defense forces,,, it is the same as Japan,, is that still the case?

@IscariotXIII The Romans abandoned Britain in 410AD to defend Italy, then the Saxons (Germans/English) arrived and displaced the Celts to where they currently live and then the Vikings came and were basically absorbed over time - so the English ARE basically German. Calling someone British is a different matter however.

@ChrisTheCrazy French is a different branch of language whereas German and English are from the same family of languages; the true English and Germans are racially similar too - white with blue, grey or green eyes whereas there is a far higher likelihood amongst the French to be brown eyed. The French aren't the same in my opinion.

I agree the leopard two is a great tank world class maybe after the M1 (no point having them if you dont use them tho when the time requires it). We know they were not as many WW2 Germans tell us they were not; in fact most Germans say they werent. So why did they fight? Oh yeah it was the Nazis that made them. Germany has not done a great deal of fighting or anything military since the end of WW2 other than Kosovo.

Sirs: This rendition of "The Glory of Prussia" (=Pruessens Gloria) is so fine I can hardly believe my ears. The tone and instrument use is as they used to play. I appreciate your inclusion of it, here, for it is the melodic and dulcit allure to, and of, marchers who seek to defend a Land and Country they all dearly love. I like to say also that, like Prussia did, love grows. So, now, "Best Wishes with my Compliments." --JIM DAY

What a wonderful tune! I love the tripple tongueing in the trumpets. Are there any words to this? Makes me want to sing. Many thanks for posting.

oh and less hate towards the Poles please!! Nobody has a right to say anything negative against Poland after what that country's been through in the last 100 years!!

that i agree with 100% . by the way congratulation on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the berlin wall. i lived 15km from DDR border at the time and we cheered germany all the way. i remeber how the old were affraid to see you uniting and how we the young ppl wished you all the best. hope things will improve in germany soon.

i'm from the wolin island. looking out my bedroom window i saw the baltic see and on a clear day city of ahlbeck in germany. i can't believe there are no borders now, you can just stroll, cycle back and forth. amazing. if you live that far away from the polish border what is your interest in her?

oh that's cool, so you live in Pommerania :) yeah it's amazing that the borders are open, it should always have been like that.
The reason I love Poland is because my best friend is Polish and I'm very interested in Slavic culture. And it's really easy to fly to Poland from Stuttgart or Munich. And also because our two countries share a lot of history and culture.
