Mums are actually short for Chrysanthemums, which is the kind of flower that sits in the middle of all the football decorations. The Chrysanthemum is the centerpiece for all homecoming mums. I never knew that these were mostly a Texas thing but it seems they are. Texans make these elaborately decorated ribbons to show their school spirit. Its a freaking cash cow lol!
Thank you both! I started making them myself because I do not have the money for 4 Mums every year. I am all about saving as much money as I can. You could start a great business doing this also.
Your video was wonderful. I was going to order them because these Mums look so complex. but now that I have seen your demonstration, I am confident I can make these myself for both of my sons' dates. I will be saving myself tons of money too. Durn these things are expensive when you don't make them yourself. THANK YOU!!!
