I'm fairly sure that there were several instances where hosts ordered pizzas and had them delivered to the set on-air throughout the 90's. I think that practice seemed to stop at the very beginning of the "Sugar era".
I really wish the Grogs first christmas would be put out on DVD I loved Warren so much as a kid.
Also there was a show that was on YTV late night that had Phil and a few others doing reviews of comics and popculture, anyone remember what it was called?
They did an action figure theatre segment, I found out about so much interesting stuff from it, from the church of the subgenious to Alan Moore stuff.
Although I do miss the old stuff on YTV, I have to wonder: how much drugs did Phil have to be on to do this? He's always talking to Snit or Grog. He had to be smoking weed everyday.
I remember PJ Gord, and he was once trying to get through reading a fan letter to him -- but he had apparently NOT read it prior to airtime. So he was stumbling through it, trying to "censor" some of the more provocative words on-the-fly: "Me and my friend think you are so... *snicker* 'Nice' ...and we want to... *snicker* 'Say hello to' you..."
The Zone was so awesome when PJ Phresh Phil was there! He was my idol
Wish there was some footage of Pat Kelly, I don't remember what he was like, but I saw him in a few things on YouTube recently and have been wanting to see his YTV days.
@MrPixelbully Me too! - though is was '94.... Unfortunately, there was a real dispute between the station & the puppeteers over merchandizing rights which ended up with them being fired & depriving us of future Groginess - bloody TV execs!!
I'm 25 and used to love this lol. One summer they had the pj's come to Newfoundland because they were doing a cross country tour and they had all th grogs and that. It was awesome/
I know, it breaks my heart just a little to know all the great stuff I used to watch is very likely gone. Just....a fun warm memory. TV like this was personal, it spoke to me. Sometimes literally. That doesn't happen anymore. Though they were pushing it with PJ Katies farm....that was just her and a bunch of erasers.
That's not a lot better then erasers, even if she had the best clay in the world it was still here standing there for a full half hour talking to herself and moving little clay animals. It was like a bet. "I bet you Katie can't make even one episode on a hundred dollar budget." She spent most of that on her outfit.
They were made with Crayola Model Magic actually. I remember because I was enough of a loser to go buy some and make my own farm when I was little lol.
it has been nearly 16 years, and I still remember Warren, and phil for that matter, who apparently is over at some country station. but point being.... I miss the grogs. Particularly Warren.
Ok. Do you remember those 4 minute clips in between shows? They were these very interesting videos made completely with computer graphics. I remember one of a fish and a bird meeting inside a large glass sphere. I also remember one of musical instruments all playing themselves.
Does anyone remember these and do you know how I could find them? They were on YTV the same time the first season of REBOOT aired and Sailor Moon too. Thanks !
right on thanks for posting this, warren the grog was funny as shit i was hoping to find him here there was so many moments with him that are gone and lost forever
britney spears ,the backstreet boys and american idol took a shit on it and all we can smell is shit. that's what happened to the 90's its sad really. :(
It would have been funny and toatally random if they let the pizza guy come in while they were on air and deliver the pizza to Phil and Chester. Then they could have done "Interview with the Pizza Guy!" lol! That would have been the old skool YTV.
Knowing Phil, probably. lol! I wish Phil would give us all a nostalgia trip and comment on some of these vids. He's on Youtube! Phil, we know your out there!
warren was by far the greatest grog. would love to see a clip of him being grumpier and groggier! if you have any more clips of warren please post!!!!
me to, he was gangleader with all his grogs but the Power Rangers killed all of them but Warren Chester Grog turn into a big grog, so then the rangers call the MegaZord to kill him and they did by useing The power sword and it work and gave me home ride by to my bed and that the story of my Nightmare, brandonman01
oh man this is my childhood, and i mean early childhood rushing badck ahaha. i think i was 5 when this aired and i remember warren vividly, he was my favorite grog and when he took over ytv was amazing :D
Warren Chester Grog was and is still my favorite Grog.

@PetiteOzma holy shit I remember watching The Grogs First Christmas Special on YTV when I was a kid as well and I loved it.
I was waiting for someone to remember the name of that YTV special.
I also agree with you 100% that The Grogs First Christmas YTV Special should be put onto DVD.
Maybe we should start a petition to get YTV to release The Grogs First Christmas YTV Special onto DVD.

Well that was definitely a pleasure to watch! YTV was the channel I always watched when I was about 8-12 years old.
Boy, has programming ever changed.
This sort of thing seemed so real and interactive.... Those "In the minds eye" really interested me when I was younger.
