  • Does anyone have any clips of Katherine Willis show

  • @bsomethingold I was on the Katherine Willis Show in 1976 as part of the Bicentinial Choir from Henry Johnson Elementary

  • Thanks MrSammyReed. Funny how time erases some brain cells. I worked at WJHL from October 1974 to October 1984. I do remember Bob Lewis was doing First Call when I got there in '74. Then they called & got me to sit in for Bob on First Call in 1985 I think it was when Bob had some surgery. 5:00 AM sure came early. BTW, there is a facebook page I work(ed) at WJHL TV that has been a blast to be on and catch up with old friends.

  • Brain fade. Sorry but I think the lady is Elaine Lipe, I believe Martha came later...

  • @beardshaver

No, you were right the 1st time. Martha Osborne

Elaine Lipe, now, is a name that brings back memories. She was the first host of "First Call" when it started in the late-70's. Then wound up on Ch. 5 in the early-80's. Definitely one of those people I'd like to know "where are they now".

  • The lady is Martha Osborne. I don't remember the exact year, but I also worked there at this time...

  • I was born and raised in Johnson City remember Bob Lewis,Lisa Smalling. How about the Katherine Willis Show in the afternoons.

  • The man is Tony Treadway. I don't know who the woman is.

  • It could be Judy Rody(sp). She was the weather caster at the time on WJHL before Mark Reynolds came to town.

  • No, it's not Judy Rothe.

  • Who are the anchors in the clip?

  • i love the US Hwy 11 logo :)

  • does anyone have any more old videos of WJHL? WJHL was always my favorite station to watch when I was vacationing and living in Boone, NC (next to WSOC-TV 9 in Charlotte and WSPA-TV 7 in Spartanburg)

  • This video would have been from the summer of 1982. The year the World came to East Tennessee (1982 World's Fair)

  • The Wigsphere!

  • I remember WJHL, for it was always the best in the Tri-Cities. What year did this come out?

  • i remember it. i'm from johnson city.

    anymore wjhl?

  • This is a great video. Thanks for posting. By the way, I did see the Knoxville skyline on the WJHL ID. I am looking forward to more WJHL videos.
