Thanks MrSammyReed. Funny how time erases some brain cells. I worked at WJHL from October 1974 to October 1984. I do remember Bob Lewis was doing First Call when I got there in '74. Then they called & got me to sit in for Bob on First Call in 1985 I think it was when Bob had some surgery. 5:00 AM sure came early. BTW, there is a facebook page I work(ed) at WJHL TV that has been a blast to be on and catch up with old friends.
Elaine Lipe, now, is a name that brings back memories. She was the first host of "First Call" when it started in the late-70's. Then wound up on Ch. 5 in the early-80's. Definitely one of those people I'd like to know "where are they now".
does anyone have any more old videos of WJHL? WJHL was always my favorite station to watch when I was vacationing and living in Boone, NC (next to WSOC-TV 9 in Charlotte and WSPA-TV 7 in Spartanburg)
Does anyone have any clips of Katherine Willis show

The man is Tony Treadway. I don't know who the woman is.

It could be Judy Rody(sp). She was the weather caster at the time on WJHL before Mark Reynolds came to town.

No, it's not Judy Rothe.

This video would have been from the summer of 1982. The year the World came to East Tennessee (1982 World's Fair)

This is a great video. Thanks for posting. By the way, I did see the Knoxville skyline on the WJHL ID. I am looking forward to more WJHL videos.
