If your sure to be careful and avoid going on fresh powder when there's high avalanche risk, it's safe...but by not going off the trail you miss the cliffs and all of natures beauties lol. I think the beauty about living in Switzerland is that there are so many resorts SO close by

A bit off-topic, but where do the majority of These clips come from (I assume from west us). Since I live in Switzerland I board over here, but you never seem to seem the same beautiful untracked powder that's just miles away from Everything else. (if you ever come to Europe to board, be careful cuz you can never tell whether your about to go off a cliff or what not)

There are a lot of shots from the Pacific Northwest of the USA and a lot from Chile. I want to go ride Europe but have never been there before. Sounds dangerous and steep when you go backcountry. We are blessed with amazing backcountry here as well, but there are avalanches that can bury you with the constant powder we get.
