Ughhh between 8-15 thousand dollars! They sell for a few hundred dollars over in Japan so after 1200 dollar shipping and inspection they should be well under 3 grand. I have a friend who got a Porsche 944 for 3,500 dollars landed and inspected. Its like people love to get ripped off.
My wife and I drove a Nissian Pao here in Japan and we love it! We drove from Yokohama to Toyoma and didnt have a problem with it at all. Thats eight hours.
Lovely little cars !! Very interesting news item. Other models that fit in this collectors' category are the east German Trabant, the early 1960s German Goggomobil and the Isetta "Bubble Car"
Lol!!! They are interesting cars those ones - all made by Nissan when they were going through an 'interesting' period in their home market, 'circa' 1990 - Where the world got the bland Bluebird, Sunny and Stanza, the Japanese got brilliant straight 6 RWD machines like the R32 Skyline, C33 Laurel and Cefiro - and these little critters, based off the Micra. The Van was the Scargo, and the cute convertible was the Figaro.
I have a 87 turbo Sprint. Similar engine, 1 liter 993 CC. I know in Canada they have these cars, they are rare in the USA

Avantime, the Daihatsu Copen is too new to be imported into Canada.
But anyway, yes, I do love the Nissan S-Cargo (the van)
It's a shame that they cost around $8000 on the used market in Canada. :(

There is definitely something of the East German Trabant about the styling of the Figaro - I love it!!!

Get a Daihatsu Copen, It's a very similar design but with a folding metal roof.
