Watching this just made me sick. I haven't been to the circus in years, and now I'm not going to bring my kids to them because of this sickening treatment of animals. They have so many rare and endangered species of animal and treating them like this isn't going to help improve their numbers. I disagree that every respose is due to violence. I am a horse trainer and I train using logical psycological training: operant conditioning, classical conditioning. habituation and counter conditioning. The animals I train are contented with training and violence has NO PLACE in trained responses!
I often hate "animal lovers" that take the animals too much as humans. Like animals in huge cages in zoo's. The bars around it don't make them feel bad as it would with humans. But I hate even more the people that treat animals like objects. It's been proven that some animals like sheep have feelings. The problem is that people think we are made in the image of god and animals are there for us. It's not true. We are animals with more intelligence. Nothing very special.

The conditions these circus animals are in is what factory farmed "food" animals live in as well. None of it - not the entertainment or the "meat" is necessary. Man survives fine on a plant based diet. It is healthier and compassionate. Empty the cages - All of them. Go Vegan.
But humans were made to hunt. Meat helps us survive but entertainment doesn't. Humans were supposed to eat meat and vegtables which is what we're doing. But torturing animals for a few laughs isn't good at all.

It's so sad. When I was little I went to see "The Greatest Show On Earth" and I was mystified...I couldn't stop thinking how wonderful it was. Then I see things like this and now I know why those poor animals did all those amazing things...I will never go to another...EVER! How could they do this to these poor displaced creatures. This is beyond inhumane.
