@spido123 do you know of any programs or colleges that have good majors for a zoologist, I too want to be a zoologist, but I'm 15 and have a long way to go
The average salary for biologists and related scientists, including zoologists, is somewhere between $55,000 and $70,000 a year. However, salaries can range from just under $30,000 to upwards of $100,000 a year, depending on the type of position the zoologist holds and his or her level of education. Zoologists with a bachelor’s degree earn the lowest salaries, while those who have a master’s degree can make significantly more.

@mgmga1 A Zoologist and Wild Life Biologist are not the same thing. They are similar. They are two different courses and degrees. Zoologist is a branch of biology that deals with animals and animal life, including the study of the structure, physiology, development, and classification of animals and most of them become Zoo's Veterinarian. Wildlife Biologist are scientist that studies animals and their habitats. They do a lot of research. They work in the field and in the laboratories.
Hey, I'm thinking about going to college and making a career of being a zoologist. I was wondering if they work outdoors the majority of the time. Also, could you work at a zoo and just take care of the animals? Last, I was wondering if I was to become a zoologist; would I be able to go around the world studying animals? Thank you :)
Hi I have been going to school for zoology and have been confused as to whether I'd like to go into conservation or work at a zoo. Some questions, If I were to work at a zoo MUST I teach children while I work there or can I just care for animals? How does a job at a sanctuary compare to a zoo? Also if I were to go into conservation, research is a necessity I am assuming? I want to be clear on the fact that if I were to do conservation work would I have to write a research paper?
