Bionicle taught us that we must find ourselves through our own perilous journey and learn to become a hero through experience and failure, and the three important virtues: Unity, Duty, Destiny. Hero Factory taught us that heroes can only be made in a factory. It's like the Star Wars Prequels when we are told about metaclorians; it defeats the idea of true inspiration and replaces it with the linear concept that you are either instantly a hero, or shit out of luck.
I don't think you get the point. It's what we do that makes us heroes. And these guys' "duty" is to protect the whole galaxy from underground criminals. Don't jump into conclusions. Come on! It's not hard to be a positive-minded guy.
I dislike the 1.0 but I like the 2.0 and 3.0. The storyline still sucks but I can do an attempt at making an new (and better?) one. Bionicle had good sets, an great storyline and it progressed greater (then weaker in 2009.). Hero factory started like crap with the heroes and with an crap stained storyline. WHY NOT CALL THE 2.0 THE 1.0 GUYS?!

Bionicle will live on through our memories and in Hero Factory. I mean they're almost the same thing. ALMOST. Bionicle will never die as long as we find a way to remember it.

Seriously though, while Bionicle was arguably the best part of my childhood and forever fascinated me with its universe, it's time has simply ended. Lego is a business and as such will replace some things with others. I'm sure this new series has it's moments, and while it's a tad generic, it can't be that bad. Besides, w/out the product, the universe of Bionicle is free to expand without the constraints of having it tied down to the release of new sets/figures.

oh my gosh, I love bionicles and now I see that the bionicles were replaced by some hero factory toys I don´t like this, bionicles are really better, look at the inika heroes and look at this heroes made in a factory, the pirakas are made in a factory look and the creatures from under water the barrakis look at the toa nuva/mata borhok, rakshi phantoka, mystika, glatorian, toa metru, vakhi all the matorans, makuta tarakava hordika marhi etc. they all end with bionicle stars and replaced by this.

@1997Dhruv I like that about them. You don't need to worry about all the rods when you disessmble one. I also like the tiering you mentioned. LIttle kids can get their moms to spend the 8 on a simple and fun toy/kit, while older fans/collectors can spend the 12-20 bucks for the bigger guys with more prts and greater complexity.
I think bionicle should continue and make hero factory continue. What i want to see for bionicle is the turaga turn back into to metru and maybe evn make a new toa team. Hero Factory isnt bad, i think its ok, but honestly, they did have a good storyline going on, and now they switched it to more of a less unexpecting theme. And now they have less detailed sets, but it's not terrible. I, although think they should have mixed it up with the old sets, like switch planets, kept the intensive toa storyline, but with more futuristic weapons like a high-tech Midak Skyblasters.
Most of them are cranky that "Bionicle" has been simply replaced by "Hero Factory", that "Bionicle" ended at all, that they both seem to use the same types of Technic-inspired parts, or their story lines seem to be so similar.
There's also a little bit of mockery regarding the title "Hero Factory".

Well I am mad the Hero Factory replaced bionicle because there is no story line and the builds are terrible. The story line is basically "We build Hero's in a factory" and half the pieces in the builds are glued together and take 4 seconds to make. They are also overpriced for what you get.

Hero factory is better then Bionicle. Bionicle has joints that snap all the time. Hero factory's new building system has more felxability, and they dont just break. and Bionicles have silly names. in my opinion, Hero Factory is much better then bionicle.
and bionicle are really skinny and boney. with weapons that dont work. some bionicle weapons work, like the thornax launcher but others dont. Im not saying bionicle is bad cause i guess its ok....

I grew up on Bionicle and the franchise is dear to me, but this is good. Maybe not as good as Bionicle, but I like it. There, I said it.

@Armatige: the answer is actually quite simple: it is because Hero Factory is REPLACING bionicle. If the 2 lines existed seperately we are sure that no one would tease Hero Factory, or even give a damn. It is just frantically annoying when as a kid, you had the newest, coolest toys, for low prices. Hero Factory is, quite plainly, stupid. The pieces are poorly replicated bionicle pieces, the storyline and names are written by 5 year olds, and they are WAY expensive. You don't even get much in a

It's deeply saddening that BIONICLE is gone.
I beleive people are hating on HF because it has nothing on BIONICLE.
BIONICLE had a deep and intricate world, storyline and character roster. This seems to be about robots shooting at things "In the futurrreeee" To appeal to little kids. No matter what happens with HF, I grew up loving BIONICLE and it was a major part of my childhood. I will miss it dearly.
Heroes cannot be made, they must be bred.

@1997Dhruv I like that about them. You don't need to worry about all the rods when you disessmble one. I also like the tiering you mentioned. LIttle kids can get their moms to spend the 8 on a simple and fun toy/kit, while older fans/collectors can spend the 12-20 bucks for the bigger guys with more prts and greater complexity.
Transformers and Gundam do the same thing, btw.

I think bionicle should continue and make hero factory continue. What i want to see for bionicle is the turaga turn back into to metru and maybe evn make a new toa team. I have no hate for this, I just find that its exactly like bionicle, & the storyline isnt all that great, so they shoulda have just created like new not so bionicle like characters with this storyline, I think it should be alright, cos right now, Hero Factory is like idk how to say it, but I think the design of the characters should be more robot & different since bionicle was more like a more like the bionicle were like living beings & not machines

Hero Factory isnt bad, i think its ok, but honestly, they did have a good storyline going on, and now they switched it to more of a less unexpecting theme. And now they have less detailed sets, but it's not terrible. I, although think they should have mixed it up with the old sets, like switch planets, kept the intensive toa storyline, but with more futuristic weapons like a high-tech Midak Skyblasters.

Most of them are cranky that "Bionicle" has been simply replaced by "Hero Factory", that "Bionicle" ended at all, that they both seem to use the same types of Technic-inspired parts, or their story lines seem to be so similar.
There's also a little bit of mockery regarding the title "Hero Factory".

@CollectionDX Well, they didn't ended Bionicle. The storyline keeps going, and it's getting exiding again. It's just the production of them that has stopped.
On the other hand, it's very ironic that they launch a new storyline in an other universe, make a movie called "Legend Reborn", and than a year after that they quit producing them <_<

@Armatige As story line, the hero factory are robots with artificial intelligence created by the man. Bionicles were created by "Gods" known as the Great Beings. Also, the "Heroes" lack of the great and amazing elemetal powers from the Toa. I bet that Lewa, alone, could beat the alpha team. =D

Well I am mad the Hero Factory replaced bionicle because there is no story line and the builds are terrible. The story line is basically "We build Hero's in a factory" and half the pieces in the builds are glued together and take 4 seconds to make. They are also overpriced for what you get.
