  • gonna see them 5th Aug at Belladrum- canna wait !!!!!

  • The Phantom Band are headlining the Kiss My AFF-festival in Genk-Belgium. It's a free festival on august 6th 2011. Check our website kissmyaff (dot) be.

  • singer sounds a little like serj tankian from soad

  • Absolutely brilliiiiiiiant :D

  • so progressive nice ...

  • These guys are 100% mighty boosh quality

  • my new favourite band, i think.

  • And?

  • This is the old single version that came out on Trial & Error Recordings not the album version that's on Checkmate Savage (Chemikal Underground)

  • it's a bit slower, less dense and the lyrics are slightly different.

  • Has that rubberband sound being played too?

  • Sorry, hadn't logged in for a while. 100% correct. The audio for this is from the Trial & Error and not the Chemikal Underground recordings. At the time I made these videos I didn't want to put out any audio that hadn't already been out for a while. (Folksong Oblivion was available free on a certain legal site.)

  • good call!

  • Going to see these guys in the Monkey in Swansea tonight! Woo!

  • One of the best of the year!!!

Can't wait to see them in live next week!

  • sean killed curly jefferson...not ol' gregg!

  • so good...

  • just got the edit in for The Howling video.

I'm not posting it yet out of respect for the band and label. I don't want to steal their thunder.

Chemikal Underground's page will probably have something official on very soon.

  • fuckin(for lack of language skills) brilliant

  • funky fresh

  • thats a bloody good song that, theres a lass i know from a forum i use works wi the drummer damian and she told me about them last night

  • This song is soooo cool live! :-)

  • You are so right. They are superb live but this song seems to stand out live, it just sounds so great. You think they wouldn't be able to pull of the doo wop bit but they do- BIG TIME!

  • So true about the doo wap bit!! I wished I had tried to film it but actually I was bopping about so much during that song I wouldn't have been able to hold the camera still. Hope they come back down south soon!

  • Fantastic band, fantastic album. Obviously influenced by another Scottish band namely 'The Beta Band', very similar in spirit and approach. Great to see.

  • I didn't remove the comment by 'DonkeyTimer ' by the way folks. I'm not into censuring. His comment was:

"lovin this song. i need to get the album." cant get this in the US

  • Someone should post The Howling - heard it the other day on NME radio and had to find out who it was... not often I regard new tunes in that way. They seem pretty cool. Obviously that means in an age like this they will remain obscure...

  • I was going to post The Howling but I have it on good authority that it will be their 1st proper release with an official video very soon.

  • sorry they're crap.

  • opinions are like arseholes.

    everyone's got one.

  • yeah, and nobody wants to see the other persons. So why are you showing me yours.

  • Wrong. I posted this so I get to respond, that's the way it works.

I don't know why you're so offended, read my statement again. It just means that everyone has opinions and they don't always agree.

    Relax, noone's having a go.

  • Comment removed

  • finally something orignal ;)

  • Too right! this isn't the normal boring run of the mill, it's good to hear some musical experimentation

  • Exactly! Buy the album!!

  • Cool. Just logged on and I've got 666 views- Evil Rock!!

  • Brilliant album! Every home should have a copy!
