  • Words cannot describe how excellent this concept is. I like the kind of detail you included, as well as the example you gave. This is truly a ring that can bring down many heroes and lantern corps, but wouldn't the Grey lanterns and Blue lanterns be at a dead-lock? Blue represents the power of hope. Indefinite hope. When one is suffering, they see no hope. However, when one is in pure bliss and is immune to their plights (lets say, a religious and pious Christian, for example).

  • @phase866 Would that count as an immunity or a strength against the Grey Lanterns?

  • @phase866 well put it this way, what good is christianity with out christians? nothing, and look at hope, if you really understand, hope is for the hopeless, the grey lanterns will make an exzample of the blue lanterns by killing the ones they protect so it will teach the blue lanterns a lesson if they ever stand against them, when you going up against the grey lanterns you gotta be carefull.

  • @ultimatejuggernaut30 Of course. However, any logical blue lantern would know that there's always the chance they can save more. Of course, it takes a certain degree of balance between logical and emotional judgment. When I grey lantern overpowers the blue lantern, the blue lantern rises back up, creating another deadlock. This is interesting.

  • This is truly a great concept. The symbol looks nice, the emotion you attach it to is excellent, however if I may for just a moment. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the oath. But maybe it could go something more like: "In painful day, in frightful night, no one will escape our plight. Those who challenge what's naturally right, suffer the power. Grey Lanterns spite." Or maybe put "plight" where "light" is and keep "spite" where it was, idk it's your idea. Just a thought is all.

  • The power rings they wield are sentient, they choose the wielders they feel suffered the worst at the hands of others, and gradually syphoning their emotions until they feel nothing but despair, desiring nothing more than to share the wielder's suffering towards the rest of the galaxy.

  • @superlogan7437 couldnt put it better myself

  • If you had to choose the look and form of the power entity to your Grey Lantern batteries, what would if be? A bird, wolf, bear, or other?

  • @Markis2bi4 the only entity is a Oa guardian who is trapped inside a empty void all because he was unique in his powers and the Oan people was frighten because he could create an entire universe in his own image, but he fell in love with a female Oan because the frighten Oan told her so they can trap him in the void, the entity was so heart broken and so angry what happened 2 him, he found a way 2 contact our reality by creating the grey lantern super battery and with it he comunicate through it

  • @ultimatejuggernaut30 So if the Green Lanterns go out in the Galaxy and enforce law, what do the Grey Lanterns do? Are the protagonists, or antagonists?

  • @Markis2bi4 both, if you take a good look at all the lantern oaths it will all automaticly conflict with the grey lantern oath, if you take a good look at the grey lantern oath it says no one escapes our spite, and , those who challenges whats naturaly right, all the lanterns corps challenges the grey lanterns and so the grey lanterns will get spiteful and make there enermies suffer so they will be reminded of there pain.

  • @ultimatejuggernaut30 would he also be blinded so all he could see is darkness, yet he can also make out the colored emotions of others, like the Black lanterns' vision.

  • I always had the idea Grey Lanterns were the real balance between the universe; never truly taking any side of the spectrum of life, since it's both Black and White together.

  • cool

  • WHITE SHADES OF DARK

    BLACK SHADES OF LIGHT

    THROUGH PAIN AND SUFFERING, OUR SOULS IGNITE

    LET ALL OUR ENEMIES FEEL MISERYS' DELIGHT

    EMBRACE OUR SORROW

    GREY LANTERNS SPITE !

  • @trillination This version sounds more appropriate than the one in the video.

  • anyone knows the theme?

  • May I make a suggestion that is proper english and not contradictory of itself...

    In Painful Day;

    In Fearful Night;

    None shall escape our spite;

    For those who challenge whats naturally right;

    Behold our Power, Grey Lanturn's Light.

    It flows a little better and still has the message you were trying to get across without the contradiction "No one shall never escape our spite" and the bad english "Those who challenges whats naturally right"... Overall though great creativity.

  • I love it...

  • u do the very best videos like this, end of goddamned story, the green lantern has a green thumb to match his green penis, why diden't u tell me this video was out??? u know i love your work, u gotta keep me in the loop brother, u were 1 of my first subscribers even when i had no goddamned videos at all and that will always mean something 2 me man!!!!!

  • Nice job dude cool

  • Very interesting there.

  • @RidleyofJLA indeed, if you really think about it between infinate crises with anti-moniter and the uprising with the black lantern corps, how many people do you think had sufferd, lived in misery and pain? too many and thats why i created the grey lantern corps.

  • @ultimatejuggernaut30 You made this up? That's so cool!! Its very creative!! In fact it could be used in a fic if worked right.

  • @ultimatejuggernaut30 So, are the Grey Lanterns suppose to be neutral, or is there more to their philosophy?

  • @Markis2bi4 no they the sort of lanterns who wants to spread there suffering and pain to those who apose to there ways, put it this way, if someone comes along and really hurts you in any sort of way, you would of felt some type of pain or suffering but the person who does these sort of things wouldnt share any feelings for you, wouldnt you want the person to really suffer the same way you felt?. they are extremist and ruthless lanterns if you apose them.

  • @ultimatejuggernaut30 So does that make them villains? Or do they choose who to inflict pain on to?

  • @Markis2bi4 both at the same time

  • you made this up?

  • @kent0149 yes : )
