Fast forward nine months. Sarah Palin gets paid six figures and gives the keynote speech to a bunch of right wing militia men eating steak and lobster for $550 a plate. Some "grass roots' movement you've got gong there. The Tea party was a front for angry, racists GOPs the entire time. No suprrise here.
wow, your still on the fact that she got paid. she put it back to the cause of the tea party. you don't believe her, but you believe barack obama huh.
@Wiser72 CNN tells you how the tea party was formed and you believe them? I am a tea party guy and i support Alan Keyes for president. So much for being a racist. So typical to be bashing Sarah Palin. The left wing media bashes her because they are threatened by her.Its obvious you watch way too much TV. You are right about one thing, we are angry and we have every right to be. Now there is no money and no jobs so people have more time to get out and protest.
Thanks pchagnon for posting the video! check out UMfreedomdotcom and freedomwatchonfoxdotcom an online show with Judge Napalitano he speaks the truth, you'll be glad you did.
Way to go! I am proud to be a part of this movement, and glad to see so many others feel the same way! Don't worry about the "haters" out there- every movement has them. They will understand one of these days! In the meantime- don't have time to let their unfounded remarks and put down affect me. You can't really blame them- they haven't been paying attention to the real news!
The Tea Parties were great! What's next?! To you haters out there- do your thing- and we'll do ours. This is too important to let your name-calling, and put downs bother us. We aren't gonna be intimidated or silent anymore! If the media can't handle the truth- we'll handle it just fine! Stick together guys!
The interesting thing about our rally in Duluth was that there was a real focus on the issues facing us and our children. There were no personal attacks or unfair characterizations of persons or groups.
Conversely, the response from our liberal fellow citizens and the mainstream media has been nothing but personal attacks and unfair characterizations. We have been collectively portrayed as uneducated, emotionally driven, white supremacist, right-wing extremists.
Great work on the video, pchagnon. I was at the Tea Party in the incredibly liberal Duluth, MN today, where there were many families, veterans, and working people like myself who took their lunch hour to attend. I don't have an official head count, but one person gave up at 1,200. There was also a tea party across the border, in Superior, WI, but I haven't heard any reports from there.
As of 2005, the Federal Government spent $2.02 in Mississippi for every dollar Mississippians payed in federal taxes. And those figures don't account for Katrina. People in New York and California get less than 80 cents on the dollar back. For a state that's so heavily subsidized by the rest of us, don't you think it's a little silly to be whining about your taxes?
Also: Allie - What's the deal with the white collar, blue shirt and gold tie? Does your Mommy dress you?
Yeah I know isn't that ridiculous? That's what we are trying to stop. Also...lets not resort to childish insults. :) Didn't your mommy tell you if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
In a country of 300 million people only about 20,000 people (99% of whom are senior citizens with nothing better to do) showed up NATIONWIDE at those tea parties. What a great turnout huh? I bet Obama could manage to get at least that many people just by showing up at Starbucks.
Well, between 500-800 people showed up at this one in little ole Tupelo. There were A LOT of young families with young children.
But you can follow Obama around and sip on your starbucks and continue to live in La La Land.
Oh, I also bet everyone showing up for these rallies paid their taxes...which is more than I can say for Obama's own administration included the head of the IRS.

Time for a reality check.

Yes indeed, it does seem silly doesn't it?
Its almost as though they have gotten to the point, where they feel that money will not buy happiness
Almost as though, fairness and justice, are more important than the next trinket the government decides they should have.
simply appalling
But does prove my favorite part of this movement, we can't be bought
We're not looking for more money, we only seek to keep OUR money
We want a claim on our rights, not a claim on needs
