I would say it was at the time censorship. 'Hold Tight' was a children's television programme so some of the lyrics may have been perceived as being for more mature audiences. In 1986, their viewers must have heard worse in the playground!

Yes. Apparently this was broadcast on a UK Saturday morning kids show. It was decided that the original lyrics needed to be 'toned down' as they were deemed to be too spicy!! One for the collectors if you can get an MP3 copy I guess.
