    The Door ... SUCK!!

    These guys are Brilliant...

  • @Suavratman Lol @ Zep Back grounf music haha good one kid.

  • @Suavratman Which world are you from? Zeppelin is in no way "Back Ground Music" and The Doors do not suck! Pink Floyd is awesome though.

  • @Suavratman Calm down big Zeppelin are NOT backround music, so calm down , yes Pink FLoyd are awesome, but Zeppelin and floyd are in the same league

  • @FcBarcaman1193 Not even close... you see the main difference is Pink Flyod doesnt suck...its not crappy hippie music... Gilmore or Page? Come On Really!?! The Doors suck too...

  • @Suavratman Zeppelin isn't crappy hippie music -.-

  • cant watch this enough times :P

  • I remember having The Wall on cassettte and at the end of this song there was a gun shot from what i've been told by others that had the same version is that this was rare to hear....i dont know wish had still had it

  • @73Shakes Even though it sounds suicidal it's more like Pink's final sendoff before he completely isolates himself from the rest of the world.

  • I was at this show the night they filmed this

  • omg. i'm going to flip shit when i hear this live

  • Goodbye Cruel World

  • if you listen you can hear the 2 notes that appear in Careful Wit That Axe

  • @mountainbmx good ear mate, didn't notice it before.

  • I love how the entire performance/album is presented like a play or musical. What a great concept.

  • why was the tour so short?

  • it probably costed shit loads

  • cost

  • @Norocmorth Yep, they actually all made a loss apart from Rick.

  • Yeh, Norocmorth was exactly right. It costed way to much and Roger didnt want to comprimise the show.

He actually put up his own money to do the shows they did. Of course Gilmore being the cheap greedy fuck that he is, was complaining like a little sissy about loosing money so they stopped.

  • @marcusdolby1 Absolute nonsense. It was Roger Waters who didn't want to do a big tour. After all, The Wall attacked mass concerts like Pink Floyd did on the "In the flesh"-tour of 1977 and compared it with fascist meetings. I don't know what's your source about Gilmour's complaints, but they're totally unfounded. Would big dictator Waters listen to Gilmour around that time? In fact, Waters was the one who refused extra concerts in bigger stadiums. So blame him for the tour being too short!

  • @mostlyanthony Gilmour and Mason attempted to convince Waters to expand the show for a more lucrative, large-scale stadium tour, but because of the nature of the material (one of the primary themes is the distance between an artist and his audience) Waters balked at this.

Yep your right, Gilmore and Mason wanted more Money to line their greedy pants but Waters refused to compromise the music for the sake of money. Sounds like Gilmore and Mason all right.

  • @marcusdolby1 Yes, maybe they were complaining about the money (and not surprisingly so, as PF was nearly bankrupt before making "The Wall" - which is also the sole reason why this album is a Pink Floyd album and not a Roger Waters solo record), but then you can't blame them for the tour being short. It was Waters who didn't want the tour to be longer than it was.

  • @marcusdolby1 ...and besides, what is Roger Waters going to do now? He's going on tour with "The Wall"...in those big stadiums and halls he hated! Why's he going to do that now? Because he needs the money? Now who's the greedy one now?

  • @mostlyanthony Look I dont argue the point that Waters is still touring and writing music. But to make money being the sole point behind it is just wrong. Gilmore made 81 million on the MLOR tour and he needed to use the Pink Floyd name to do that. Rick Wright........RIP even said he felt used by Gilmore just to win his court case against Roger. Ever wonder why Wrights picture isnt on the album? Wright wasnt fired by Waters on the Wall......Gilmore AND Waters decided to let him go.

  • @marcusdolby1 Now you're just telling blatant lies and you know it! It's being documented very well that it was Waters who fired Rick! Gilmour wanted to defend him, but Wright just gave up, because working with Waters was totally impossible. And well, about money, what would YOU do if you were facing bankruptcy and have a family to feed? Waters didn't have that problem anymore, he just had a divorce, but both Gilmour and Mason did have families to take care of.

  • @mostlyanthony James Guthrie, the engineer for the Wall, has probably the most accurate account what happened. Wright was skipping sessions and snorting WAY to much cocaine. Gilmore agreed that Wright was not helping. The whole Waters to hard to work with crap doesnt hold Water. He was trying to finish the album. James Guthrie has said......... he felt the other members were not angry at Waters for being a dictator,,,,,, but angry that he still had a work ethic.

  • @marcusdolby1 and why wanted Waters to finish the album all of a sudden? Because the record company offered a bonus if the album would be finished earlier, so they could release it before Christmas. So Rick had to give up his vacation, while Waters was away and even suggested to Bob Ezrin to hire another keyboard player. So, not surprisingly Rick refused. Why should he give up his vacation just for big bad Roger if he wasn't doing anything good anyway?

  • @marcusdolby1 (Hey, finishing an album quicker than planned because the record company offered extra money, now who's the greedy one?)

  • @mostlyanthony Look, I am and allways will be a BIG Floyd fan. I have respect for ALL the members and Gilmore is one of my favorite guitar players. Being in a band myself for many years I know how complex egos and creativity can get. You can get God himself to say so and I wouldnt care. Waters is and always will be the key component to post Syd, Floyd. Without Roger, they make albums like MLOR ....... enough said.

  • @marcusdolby1 and without Pink Floyd, Waters made albums like Pros and Cons, Radio KAOS and Ça Ira... enough said too.

  • @mostlyanthony Well there you have it. Funny how Gilmore needed the Pink Floyd name to sell albums as his Solo albums sold crap. Waters can fill stadiums and have his solo albums go platnuim without the floyd name........ now whos the bitch?

  • @marcusdolby1 haha, you REALLY know nothing, right? Waters was all complaining that "Amused to death" didn't sell at all because it didn't have the name Pink Floyd, while Gilmour's "On an island" reached #1 in the UK charts. So much for selling crap, eh?

  • Legend.

  • i am sooo proud of my dad for going

  • Pink Floyd - Super

  • all these videos of pink floyd live the wallare on is there abody out there the cd live .but the video is taped at a diffrent time . just at the last solo on comtrbly numb. just watch......

  • Goodbye.

  • wonderfull

  • this song has a diferent meanig.........

waters never liked to play in stadiums, cause of the stupid people behavor, so thas why they build a wall between the band and the audience, and this son particularly means the disdain of waters to the audience.

  • Well that's where the idea for the album came from more. Waters alienated himself from his fans since they treated him like a god and he felt like one standing on a stage and watching them act retarded. But this album is about a man named 'Pink' isolating himself off from the pain of the world by building a wall everytimg something bad happens(dad dying in WWII, mom, school, wife) causing him to be shut off....not saying you're wrong since what you said is also true :-D

  • as he felt like a god, waters also felt himself to be superior than his audience, hence in the mid of a live show he spat a fan in the face.. then he started to feel the same ways as Pink in the sense that he was becoming isolated from the world

  • The only reason he spat at one of the fans is because the fan was high as a freakin airplane and was climbing on the stage. Thats still before they had i guess you could say "hit it big". When they were still singing Set the Controls for the heart of the Sun and stuff like that

  • actually i think he did that on the '77 Animals tour

  • he did thats whyy he wrote the wall

  • it was the montreal concert during the animals tour of 77, waters had tried to start pigs 3 times but the fans kept letting off fireworks and shouting

  • such a genius concert

not to mention a fucking brilliant album

    and an awesome movie

    ok ill shut up

  • one of the most powerful songs ever for its length
