this is my fav song by them love the video to it rocks . have both tapes 1st one & the 2nd one to both kick ass. spread eagle fuc-ing rock. love the song if I can,t have you. cool tune.
I still play the shit out of this CD, my tape plays still but the sound is all Fucked up on it lol, there 2nd Album was good to, man I wish I could play like your Uncle.
Crazy Thing here...Take a Look at "Spread Eagles" Album Cover, it is more or less a "9/11" picture, before it ever happened...It shows parts of the WTC, Empire State Building, etc, all in Kaos, its freaky for sure...Do a google, and look for an album cover....But either way, Spread Eagle can Rock out bigtime, I Love em...Just as I love that band named "Zebra" from Long Island, NY :) Who's behind the door?
ROB DeLUCA THE BASS PLAYER IS PLAYING FOR SEBASTIAN BACH BAND NOW.PAUL DiBARTOLA IS IN INDIA PLAYING JOHN LENNON TYPE MUSIC.I WISH THESE GUYS WOULD GET TOGETHER AGAIN AND RELEASE A NEW CD.SUCH TALENT AND UNDER APPRECIATED.MCA SUCKS AS A LABEL AND NEVER PROMOTED THESE GUYS!
I'm 31 now in KY. This song was one of my favs during the day. It still is! The chorus is so catchy! What you dont here in this video is the opening guitar riff. It's longer on the album version. It's awesome if you get the chance to hear it!
Spread Eagle will always be one of my faves love this song but prefer the album version ive got some interview footage on vid but have no idea how to convert for youtube - help! and I will post
I saw them at a club called Toad's Place in Connecticut in 1991 and they blew the roof off the place. Easily one of the best live hard rock bands I've ever seen. Those were the days when rock bands actually rocked, not this low-tuned cookie monster vocal shit that teens call music today.
I never saw this video but, I used to hear the song back in the day on Z-Rock. To bad there aren't more bands like this around today. So much of todays music sounds like crap. Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Panic at the Disco. We need more bands that rock and have guitar solos and not this sorry crap people are calling rock
This band was formed with 3 memebrs (Drums, Bass, Guitarist) of a Boston band called BANG who had a local hit with a song call "Summertime" which sounded very much like Van Halens "So This Is Love" Guitarist was good but was overshadowed by Nuno locally from Extreme.
wild!i thought this band would be forgotten.i have their 1st album in front of me right now.on original tape.unreal. great band, but alais, grunge was on the horizon....
I echo the sentiments about this band being too good to have slipped away. This is the only song I ever heard by them and am still looking for their albums.
Similar bands that should have been bigger include Tyketto and Firehouse. Tyketto's "Forever Young" is an anthem every bit as majestic as Jovi's "Living On A Prayer" and Skid Row's "Youth Gone Wild".
As for the solo. It was good but I didn't like the tone. My favourite bit is the arpeggiated section near the end. It kicks in at 3.14s
The solo guitar in this music is awesome. It was a band I never heard an album but this music on MTV. In Portugal never saw selling this band. And it is a really good one.
i grew up with all sorts of metal in the late 80s and 90s, and this band absolutely kicked ass. was hard to get hold of here in england but we managed! second album (open to the public) was a severe let down, but the 1st album is in my top 10 ever. guitarist paul dibartelow (or somethinglike that) was immense. gonna listen to it on the way to work tomorrow!!
Great song, great album! but Spread Eagle came along too late, grunge was closing in, a lot of new and better rock bands were coming out around 1990-91 like Steelheart, Heaven's Edge, Wildside, Crystal Roxx. Too bad it wasn't able to keep going.
Excellent hair metal tune! Check out my vids. This a great album(S/T), although I think I favor the second album a little better. Love the police chase in this video =)
This song is so fucking CLASSIC!!!

I bought two of their CDs, but I was disappointed in their second album's quality of songs. This song was by far their best!

yeah I know, they're from NYC. I was just saying Cowboy boots rock! The wild west, not California or anything.

Amazon, This song is sweet, I love the whole western thing that they had, cuz I love the west.
toratora101 4 years ago
My brother was the drummer for Spread Eagle.. Tom Gallo. I dont recall anything "western" about them?
queenjodiofnarnia 4 years ago
I'm not talking about them, just look at the shoes they're wearing in this video, they're wearing cowboy boots, that's what I was talking about.

This version is nowhere as good as the studio one, but this song kicks some SERIOUS ass!!!

I prefer this version, it's a different mix and a heavier version than the one on the CD.

Saw these guys back in the day. The guitarist was a fucking god. They knocked the shit out of Skid Row live and I LIKED the Skids.
