@jokerROU of course they do! cheat codes did'nt "cheat the system" they were part of the game put there by the programmers.

Something you should have warned in the first part (though you may not know about this) is due to the fact it's emulating games some games do not work. I've heard that Golden Axe II doesn't work and Final Fantasy I does not work because it will not load the save file.

Not saying that this isn't a great purchase it's just a warning that a few games don't work with this system.

@fistpumpxx14 Mine works great. So far it plays everything that I put into it. The light gun for the NES does not work on it. I assume that the Super Scope for the SNES would not work either. That is not a big deal unless you are a huge fan of using those, which I am not. Oh course it is better to get the original system if you are a collector. Those will cost you more and take up more space. Get the Retron 3 is a great idea if you do not care about collection original systems.

You NEED an adapter for Famicom games, because Famicoms have different cartridges. Famicoms have 60 pins in the carts, but the NES games have 72 pins. And, the first slot is SNES, not NES as you incorrectly said it was, and the last one is NES, also not as you said that it was SNES. These systems are pretty cheap quality made in China. Oh well. I love my NES and SNES and they still work flawlessly.

1:20 I would suggest that any hardcore retro gamer get this, even if you have the original console, because of the S-Video.

Modding a genesis for S-Video is possible but not cheap.

The only thing that's retarded about the system is that if you look on on the button diagram, the Genesis is different even though the controller is the same as the original genesis' controller, and also, some games are incompatible like NFL Football 94', NBA Jam, and Super Mario RPG. other than that, its like I said, awesomeness reeks this system

@784Final Treu but can tell you from EXP after lots of what I call Reto Redo systems this 1 is the tops. It's true that they have about a 99.7 combalitay rating! But heck who cares after all unlike front load NES systems they work every time :). Good review sir. An interesting product indeed. I am aware of it's faults and cons but hey any new hardware helping us enjoy our classic games is a good thing. Famicom(60 pin) and NES(72 pin) carts are different. So it won't be able to play famicom games. Mega drive carts are the same as genesis and super famicom carts are the same as SNES.

@nairbzaid I got the compatabilty inf directley from the manufacture and you can see the NES port is notched out o a 60 pin game will fit perfectly. However to make sure I will some time this week end test a 60 pin Gyromite and post the video.

You forgot to mention that there is a small switch between the SVideo and Composite AV outputs that has O an J on it. This switch is supposed to be used when playing Japanese MegaDrive games by setting the switch to J.
