when i broke my pole the only thing that was bad was it felt like my bicep hurt because i assume my arm extended very quickly once the pole's resistance disappeared after it broke. aside from that i kept jumping, it doesn't count as a miss, it is "equipment failure" so don't let some one try to screw you for a miss. it is now a trophy hanging on my wall with pride

@polevaulter1983 it depends when and where it breaks cause a freshmen broke his pole and it came back around and slaped his back and hit him in the face i guess its really chance if it hurts or not

dude. breaking poles isnt "cool" you dont put a smiley next to it. If you break a pole you are a dumbass jumping on a pole with a flex too high for you, and a weight too low. Learn to pole vault man. your video sucked.

Have you ever done pole vault?? The poles can be broken even if you have pole exactly on your weight and good flex for you too.

yea kinda know the feeling... im a high jumper when you hit the bar you don't really realize it until everything is over.... or in some cases it may be people hitting the standards(with their head.... seen 2 people do it.... its hilarious)
