  • Did my first head band, I made some mistakes but I think I just didn't pay close attention but the 2nd time I did it, it turned out wonderful - now I just have to try other colors & maybe with a little flower

  • is this double or treble link?

  • @marlib7 It is the double crochet - American Standard Double Crochet

  • Very nice explanations. Will be my next project. Thanks Teresa.

  • Very nice explanations. Will be my next project. Thanks Teresa

  • Teresa, an important question here... How can we add this type of ribbing to a hat? I'd love to attach this to a baby hat I'm working on. It needs some type of brim like this.

    Thank you,

    Angela

  • @banchie28 You can slip stitch and attach to the cap on each row up or you can sew the band on once it is complete.

  • @tjw1963 Thank you Teresa. I'm trying this now!

  • Teresa, you never show your pretty face! Why is that, that we never see you? :)

  • how about if i wanna make a thinner one for a babys head?

  • @DowntheWabbitHolee You will start with less chains.

  • Ok thank you, that helps

  • Are you using a afghan hook or a regular one?

  • A regular crochet hook.

  • I just know how to do the single stitch so far, but now that I found you I am going to try to do many more. My husband's grandma taught me how to do it, but she lives a little far from me so I needed to know how to make my daughter a headband for the new dress that I got her for the holidays. Thank you so much!

  • You are welcome.

  • Teresa, thank you for this video. I am making headbands for my granddaughter and this is very helpful.

  • its... quick and easy to understand and follow... keep it UP....

  • Yay! I just made a headband using this pattern. It went really fast and I'm looking forward to making an afghan using this stitch. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • You are welcome.

  • I simply love your videos.. they are amazing. The headband was g8t. I have made a few and gifted them to my friends and they all love it.. Thankx...

  • this stitch is very beautiful, however I was so lost after you chained three... ahhh I kept going back and I couldn't get it.... is there anyway you can explain it just a little. thank you for all your videos.

  • I have a more detailed version of the link stitch in a video right before this one. I thought I included a link annotation to that video. They are both pretty much the same. This shows how to connect for a headband. I will send you the link

  • I used this stitch to make a small bag. I love the pattern that it makes! Thanks for the video :)

  • You are welcome. :)

  • i cant wait to make one for my daughter

  • in all my years of crocheting I neever saw this stitch before very cool thank you. btw I have been busy ,aking ity bity baby clothes in thread , fun fun. take care

  • Sounds like fun. Are they for miniature toy babies?

  • Yes little 5 inch Babies , I even put little ruffles on the pants hehehe. I am addicted! LOL

  • That sounds very unique. I watched the yarn show repeat of Martha yesterday. She had on a woman who was making miniature knit sweaters. This woman was selling them for $1000. She said some of the pieces took her 3 months to make.

  • awesome really i like it :)

  • I just LOVE this! It's fantastic!

  • Thanks! I've been look for a tutorial for one of these :)

  • I heart your videos :-D

Question: Where could I get a tapestry needle? I usually just do my best with a smaller crochet needle...

  • You can pick them up in the craft section of wal-mart by the yarn. Any other stores like Michael, Hobby Lobby, Joann Crafts, Herrschners, Annies Attic will all have a tapestry needle.

  • teresa this is awesome

  • Great tutorial! If I wanted to make a slightly wider headband, what would be the increase of the number of stitches in the original row?

  • Thank you. You can increase it 1 chain to 100 chains or more. Each stitch is made individually so you are not going to wind up with possible extra chains on this stitch. If you want it slightly wider, you can do 2 or 3 more chains.

  • Thanks Teresa. Your tutorials are awesome! So easy to follow. :O)

  • Thank you so much for this video its the easiest headband tutorial ive found so far...thank you!

  • You are welcome. :)
