I was just reading the official rules and saw this "submit a Qualifying Video with a completed online entry form". Is there actually a online entry form or was that left in there from the last newegg challenge official rules document?

You guys may need to try resubmitting as a video response. I submitted mine and after a week it still hadn't shown up. Newegg responded saying they weren't seeing my video as a posted response. I reposted and it was up a few days later.

I assure you all, if you submitted your video on or before October 31st, even if it was close, your video will get up. I know you don't have to worry.
The actual video that will win is determined by the newegg staff, not the users of youtube. The youtube vote will win you the popular vote prize, which is not the $5000 prize, which people seem to misread. It's still a little ridiculous that people don't vote properly for the effort put in the video. I've chosen not to vote at all, being that I'm in the contest I'm respectful enough to no try to enhance my chances of winning by bias voting to blam everyone elses' videos.
Not to mention that you could just tell all your friends from school (or work or subscribers...) to vote for your video. ;)....Though I'm pretty sure newegg took into account this phenomenon, so if you have a lot of friends in school, there's nothing stopping you from telling them to vote.
I like newegg, so I'm happy with letting them decide who should win the contest and I'm happy with letting people other than all my friends watch and vote on my video. i had a lot of fun making it :D

Hoping for the same. Uploaded and submitted my video on Friday morning 0100 EST, still not accepted. The fine print says: "Please allow 2-3 day for processing." I'm assuming that's business days. If it isn't accepted by Tuesday, I think that's when we have a real issue.

Yeah it's supposed to be exactly like you said. But when money comes in as a factor people may try their hardest to win and end up with something totally different as the end-product.

Let say: A video contestant has 20 friends and they comments/rate 5 stars. That 20 friends can comments/rate 1 star for the rest of the other contestant. I think just newegg employees should vote.
I had the same thing happen to me. My ratings more than doubled and my video went from a 5 to a 3 star. I wonder how they'll even determine the Idol prize. I mean, if they go by views then the oldest videos are more favored, and if they go by ratings then the highest rated video may just be the one with the most friends rating it 5 stars and the other videos 1. Hard to say. I believe in Newegg though, I know they'll pick wisely. I BELIEVE!!!
These are all valid points guys. It's the first time we're trying a vote based award so to be honest I didn't think about sabotage as an option when making up the contest... hmmm I thought about narrowing down the selection of votable vids by nomination but then that sounds unfair too... for now I am keeping tabs on scores as they change, comments etc. I remain positive things will fall in place. Maybe count up all the views (and/or ratings) in a certain period of time for each video; i.e. for X number of days after each was first submitted, or after each was first accepted.
You guys don't need to decide until Nov 20-something, right? So even if somebody puts in their video on the last day (Oct. 31st), you can still wait X number of days to see how many play counts it gets to match it up with the others.
Doesn't a 5 star rating = 5 votes? So by down-rating others, they are giving that vid an extra view, right? Hopefully that will deter the "1 star raters..."
I think it is really nice how everyone rates each other's well-done videos a "1 Star" just because that doing so will "sabotage the other contestants." Really cool...
Kinda funny really... and kinda sad if true as that means some people don't have enough confidence in their own work they have to bring down other peoples'... but I think as more people vote it should even out. Get your freinds to vote, share share share! And remember, there are 19 more prizes in addition to the audience vote :) So don't worry, be happy and hang in there!! Thank you all for entering :)
Everyone should have a good attitude. Yes, it is a competition but it should still remain friendly. The competitive aspect should come in the work you submit. Plus, there have already been a ton of great videos so newegg is still going to have a hard time picking the winner -

You guys don't need to decide until Nov 20-something, right? So even if somebody puts in their video on the last day (Oct. 31st), you can still wait X number of days to see how many play counts it gets to match it up with the others.

I think it is really nice how everyone rates each other's well-done videos a "1 Star" just because that doing so will "sabotage the other contestants." Really cool...

My video actually had 15 or so ratings and it was sitting at 5 for all of them. Then when it was shown in the contest it went down to a 3.5 =\

Kinda funny really... and kinda sad if true as that means some people don't have enough confidence in their own work they have to bring down other peoples'... but I think as more people vote it should even out. Everyone should have a good attitude. Yes, it is a competition but it should still remain friendly. The competitive aspect should come in the work you submit. Plus, there have already been a ton of great videos so newegg is still going to have a hard time picking the winner -

just because its on here doesn't mean it meets the contest rules. some people will find out after there disqualified. its really stupid but its the way newegg is doing it. i got permission to use mine so its ok for me.

Hey Newegg! I just realized that youtube says my video's length is 1:01. The actual length is exactly 1:00. I think they added like a second of black at the end of the video. Can you please accept mine? The actual file was exactly 1 minute long.
