Not being able to detect the casing is the pipe smoker curse, it helps for me to try different techniques, snork and the breath smoke technique help tremendously. Give it a try. Great intro man!
if you want an aromatic that is flavorful, go for the boswells berry cobbler, IMO it is one of the only aromatics that actually tastes like it's name.
