to trackbike and JMFabinoRPL my mommy JeanienKing passed away in 1983 while The Blossoms were in Vegas touring with Tom Jones. and I thank the person who this on youtube now her grandkids and great grandkids have a change to see her any time they want to. I still miss her every day she was the best mom and friend.
Love the front line of the Shindig house band. Larry Knechtel on Bass, Russ Titleman on rhythm guitar and Jerry Cole ,who recently passed away on lead guitar. AWESOME!
That is the great Neal Sedaka playing the piano during Tinas song.
Read the credits at the end, and you will see he was on that week.
That was the wild thing about Shindig. They would get a lot of guest stars to perform with other guest stars, some times in a very secondary position, for the ending finale.
I loved that show, Jack Good was nutty. Shindig was fast paced.
Better then the Dick Clark Show, because most of the acts on Shindig did NOT lip sync, they really SANG.
Shindig had it's own back-up singers, for any artist -- a female group The Blossoms and The Wellingtons (sometimes The Elgibles) were the male back-up singers.
Your mom was Jeanie King? For real? I believe she replaced Gloria Jones in the Blossoms. She also had an fabulous solo record, "You Got a Good Thing Going". Marvelous voice. Does she still sing?
Petula looked like everybody's home room teacher....maybe that's where the appeal was.....keep me after school, willya?

This era is when you actually had to be able to sing to make it.

Petula Clark is a class act. What a voice! Unfortunately that wasn't her best hair-style.

Only nitpick? Petula.Love the song, but that dress needs to go back to the Quaker girl you stole it from.

Tina was best friends with Jeanie King of the Blossoms, so she didn't have a problem with them backing her up they had a blast
