  • Hi Alan, I remember listening to all the songs that my mother and neighbours were singing when we were all down the cellar and this song always stuck in my mind because the tune was so nice.Thank you Alan for the memories....Colin.

  • I remember seeing the stage show, which was wonderful. I've also seen the movie and have the LP. A lot of great songs in this show, and a timeless message.

  • My Great Grandad served in the First World War and was at the Somme and Paschendale and i can just remember his stories before he died when i was about 5. This so reminds me of him and really brings a tear to my eye, beautiful Alan.
