I cant wait to get my MK1 Odyssey! Its true, analog instruments fill up a presence far bigger than any VST ever will, especially on one instance without doubling voices with doubled compression :v
@retrosound72 great thats the drum machine, but could you possibly message me the drums sequence, i.e, the bass drum comes on the blank/blank, the snare on the 2-4-and, etc.
so here you have the drum sound is coming from the roland... and then theres the pro-one sequencer throwing a sequence to control the odyssey while you manipulate the odyssey modules, right?
Reminds me of the Harold Faltermyer Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack songs. Love it! I wish ARP prices hadn't gone through the roof - I'd definitely have one sitting next to me right now in my humble bedroom studio set up otherwise.
@retrosound72 I picked up a MK2 a few days ago! The thing is super sweet. I'm going to pick up a Kenton Pro Solo MK2 and trigger the Odyssey from Cubase. I think tweaking patterns is so much more fulfilling than trying to play a dodgy bass riff and then trying to tweak the sliders with your right hand. I'll post some vids of the MK2 in full flow when I get the Kenton.
Do you have any idea of what kind of synth/effect was used on Hall of Mirrors, by Kraftwerk? Looks like an echo, with up shifted notes following the first played.

@pascalray: I don't understand your point. Maybe is because of your grammar. or spelling. Be that as it may, The Arp Odyssey Synthesizer and the Hammond B3 Organ, will always be the best sounding keyboards ever built. Just about every musical groups in the 70's and early eighties, used both keyboards exclusively. Even today's Jazz musican's still use a Hammond B3. I wish they would bring the Arp Odyssey back into production.
