Went ass over tea-kettle banging a runner out while working the plate during a college game on a regional network once....tripped on the catcher's mask when he flung it off. Was mowing my front lawn the next day when my neighbor asked me if I had a nice trip...obviously he saw the game...obviously I did not remember the game was on TV...we both got a good laugh out of it

I don't understand why Umpires constantly go on the wrong side of the tagger. You should always see the front logo of a tagger not the back. If you looking at the back you can't see the tag.

If the ump didn't see it, the tag was never confirmed as applied...therefore he is ALWAYS safe. Umps cannot guess as to whether the tag was made, they either saw it or they didn't...in this case he could not have seen a tag that was out of his range of view - SAFE.

you cant tell if his hand was on the plate due to the player being in the way.....so you have NO idea if the call was right or wrong.,....so lets give this one to the ump for maintaining his focus....
