since it's a prequel it won't be in that game. this theme was first in Star Ocean 2 - Second Story and then in Til the end of time which was the end of the Star Ocean saga. they have now went back from the beginning in the story.

Star Ocean: First Departure kinda sucks.

Since SO1 itself was inherently an unfinished game, the remake is just a re-glossing of that.

It's not a bad game, but it's certainly not the quality of SO2 or SO3.

Also, they added this song to the Cave of the Seven Stars~

The remake for the first Star Ocean game is coming out for the PSP 10/21/08, the remake for Sat Ocean Two Second Story some time in early Jan of next year. And Star Ocean 4 is coming out for 360 and maybe for the PS3 im not sure about the PS3 but it is Definetly coming out for the 360.

yeah I know, and in a way, the plot twist was scary. It was freakishly large, and was really unexpected. I liked the whole thing with the time gate, but planet styx and discovering the time gate was really creepy. I'd have to say it's one of the best games of all time. It has impacted my view of things a lot.

It was lame. The plot twist didnt surprise me, it severely disappointed me. That plot twist is one of the worst thing that could of happened.

The entire game was spent hyping you up, making you believe that God himself was displeased with the humans and was sending his legion of angels down to earth and other plants with humanoid races to exterminate them all. So even with earth destroyed you were going to fight God himself and save the leftover humans from extinction.

Earth getting massacred was expected. But 90% of what the game led you to believe was a lie during the last 15minutes of the game. (not literally but you get the idea)
