Females have the same right as men to masturbate. Just bcuz it can be more harmful for young women, doesn't mean it's not safe. As long as what ever is going in (usually a finger, which can be maintained) is clean, it is as harmful, if not less, than a mans masturbation!
Both sexes have the right to "pleasure" themselves all the same. It's not; "oh my gosh! A girl cant masturbate! Only guys can!" no. Never. It's sexist, and very unfair.
heyy..masturbation is not ok for males anf females in Islam..it's forbidden for both!!..but the clerik was talking about an additional cultural harm to the female in the mid-eastern socities where they consider a girl with a torn hymen at marrige as a sinful ladyy!..who deserves flogging and not killing..whereas males don't have a hymen soo only God will punish them for masturbating but it wont be evident for the society as there's no document for it..
Um, I watched the video you were "talking about" but you most seriously missed the real point.
First that Muslim cleric knows more about porn than I do. Its rather telling that the first thing he does is say, Its "o.k." for the guy to do it. He is not worried about men watching these movies that "appalled" him so much or what sort of things cause the men to want to Jack off.
He himself would only flog a girl who had sex before marriage but he knows many families would kill them.
1- Muslims cleric needs to need about sex its part of life.
2- he didnt say its ok for a guy to do it and its not for a girl he said its more dangerous
3- in islam infidels both men and women have a penalty folging or killing related to the case sin itself and the cleric didnt say that only women suffer it
Religion - any delusion - is dangerous. It causes people to make important decisions based on presumptions rooted in.......nothing. Error is an inevitable consequence of making decisions based on......nothing.
True but there is rational concern to lend credence to the concept of abstinence. Whether religious based or not, there is some validity to the viewpoint.
and every parent says things used to be better. Every generation gets worse is stead of better. Maybe money is better, technology is better, but the humans get worse. We have a devolution of the human beeing. Only systems evolve.
This just isn't true. Humans are more compassionate and less violent than ever. We might even be compassionate and wise enough to finally have an intelligent conversation about sex.
I'm not there IS a deeper conversation to be had about "the dangers of female masturbation," since it's really not dangerous (unless you're going way overboard!). And, yes, I'm a parent.
But as far as the religious element, goes... sadly you can't remove its ties to the state. And they're also teachings children are forced to believe at the youngest possible age. So it's certainly dangerous both in the sense of political persecution of female sexuality, and just giving kids sexual hang-ups.
Is he forcing a view on me, if I was a woman, and subscribed to the religious doctrine and deferred to his station as a clerical (holy) leader? Now, I know, in a muslim country the religion and the state get mighty cozy and sleep in the same bed but generally he's not forcing me if I believe in that teaching, right?
While I find the sentiment of the other video appalling I will say the two and their snide comments do nothing to help or even offer an argument. To give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they thought such ridiculousness doesn't even need an argument but some of it was just tasteless and cringe worthy
What did you find most appalling? Come on Jenn, let me have it? The fact that the guy was a guy, talking about female sexuality? The fact that he was dictating behavior? The fact that abstinence is a stupid message with no merit? Come on, you know you have more to say. And since I love you, you know you can say what you will and I will still love you. :)

I concur, but it is not for any one person to enforce their view on any other.

What validity?
I mean you are not even talking about sex with a partner.
It seems to lead to frustrated people.
Of course, the point is that its bad to go around running other people's lives. That is what these religious judgment rules are mostly about.
Ask yourself why this preacher was mostly discussing women doing the act? His religion is obessed with taking away sexuality from women.
Was it an accident the innocent bystander shot in Iran was a woman? No. Male insecurity.

Well, if sex is mutual, its a nice thing.
If you are the only person involved, its mutual.
I have no problem with some guy feeling female masturbation is bad.
I have a huge problem with him forcing his views on others.

This is why emancipation is a very narrow road.
In my humble opinion, regarding sex, the hardest thing is to evolve with it, not just doing it.
A very good commentary, Tim.
