Awesome track, I have their Lps from the more Space Chinese music period-Waves Kites, Floating World, etc ... But this is a great listen into where they came from !
when I first heard them in early 70s I thought they were ok , a bit king crimson meets jethro tull, but really rediscovered them in early 80s with island lps etc
Really like this song! I have 3 LP's of their's from the 70's but can't listen to them since my turntable's needle is so worn...but I have Kites and Way of the Sun on CD at least.
One of the best "mood" bands ever. JW took you someplace away from the world. Saw them live in '71 with Bull Angus and Styx (don't ask). They tried to get the audience into Barazinbar but the kids were clueless. Didn't have any idea what they were missing. I've worn out two copies of their first album. Fantastic group. RIP, Tony.
I know most of the "mood" bands from the 70s(great term for those groups), but while I first heard of them back in the 70s(I think from an ad that featured a album cover and a dismissive review in Downbeat) I never heard their music until about 2 years ago. I gather that the first album is worth getting hold of.
By the way, while you understandably warn us off asking about that Styx concert, pray tell. There were some odd bills back in those days, weren't there?
I don't know, I might be wrong but I am truly convinced that this music is meant for a traveler, i love it!..kinda makes me want to backpack through asia with her..
Anybody know where I can get some Three Castles? Thoroughly recommend buying the beautifully remastered ' ..Dream' it comes with little booklet with some interesting info
Ivy tapping on my window, while a candle glows/Skies that promise snow have gathered overhead/Buttered toast & creamy coffee, table laid for two/Lovely having you to share a smile with me/And it's all right, sitting in firelight, making the room bright, keeping us warm/Yes it's so good, smelling that pinewood, burning like wood should, glowing like corn.....
masterpiece... feel so good :D

"A bit King Crimson meets Jethro Tull". Interesting description. Which early 80s Island lps of Jade Warrior would you recommend?
Thanks
