funny how you use a language that so resembles the language used by religious fanatics... but I don't hold that against you, you are entitled to your own opinion.
Scofield's Thomas Moore must be one of the finest screen performances of all time. Unbelievable how the Hollywood studios (this was produced by Columbia) have degenerated since those days to purveyors of shit - obviously refelecting the society of the times.
Interesting comment you make. The funny thing is though Jews were involed in the fate that befell Jesus, Russians and Germans did kill millions and Americans do kill and torture Iraqs!! So now that you adressed these facts why are so aprehensive in doing the same with the Vaticans crimes? I wholey accept there is evil in many places, but for the Vatican to commit those attrocities in ''Gods name'' is a grave evil indeed. Synagogue of Satan
Great.. bash the Vatican because some troll like your precious Jackthesmilingblack doesn't know what he's talking about. just great.. But I'll tell you what is great. This movie
The great actress VANESSA REDGRAVE starring Anne Boleyn, the mistress and then the new queen of England. Vanessa Redgrave did appear as Alice, Thomas More's wife in a 1988 remake.
Thomas More: He put people on the rack for daring to own a Bible in English. He burned people at the stake for having a Bible in their own language. And in 2000, the Pope made him patron saint of politicians.
The acting is only a mirror of the type of nobel man that was this great servant St. Thomas More of The One True God and his Holy Catholic Faith. I could only pray for half the Faith, courage, that he displayed in his life and in his manner of death.
"Of whom the world was not worthy"
Pray for us St. Thomas that we live our faith with charity and good cheer, and die a good death as you did. Help us to serve and glorify God in all we do and say.
@mansfield1721 You believe Thomas More a saint as the Vatican professes? Look at the comment above by Jackthesmilingblack. Hardly the acts of a saint are they. Men raise men as saints not God, and while there is not much wrong in the faith Catholics have in God there is much error in the Church of Rome. If a more vile and wholey evil organisation has ever existed on Gods earth then I am not familiar with it. Its own actions have proven how the word Holy should never be attributed to it.
@hammertapping If you had bothered to read the comment I left you would've come to the understanding that I dont hate Catholics at all. @hammertapping Perhaps then you could tell me how, just for starters, how crusade, war, subjigation, torture, inquisition, censorship, extortion, sectarianism, genocide, totalitarianism, child abuse, murder and execution can be considered Christian behaviours? After all they are all attributable to the Church of Rome.
@bigderekkeene u are now admitting what u denied 24 hrs before? that you spout hate against catholics.

@hammertapping I have not spouted any hate for Catholics at all. If a man believes he brings God into his life through that faith then i have no problem with that, i believe that doctrine to be wrong, but respect that that man believes it brings him to God. As for the Church itself, its nothing short of an abomination and its not a question of wether i 'believe' they are responsible for the things i mentioned, THEY DID COMMIT THOSE ACTS!! FACT!!

BAD!
I couldn't watch the entire movie. It is so boring and has such a lack of any kind of passion that it's very hard to get through the coldness of it all. They just talk, talk, talk, talk. And I don't mind that, really. But the things they talk about are just not that interesting.
If someone hears the story, it looks juicy, but when you get to see the movie... well, it's a pointless bore that reveals no emotion.
