It is knowledge and cleverness that has allowed ourselves to think outside the box and end things such as slavery, and it's ending discrimination to homosexuals etc. He sort of presents cleverness and kindness as two mutual exclusive things, that's to bad. Would've been a great speech otherwise.

Great speech for the most part, but I fundamentally disagree with some lines. Especially:
"Our knowledge has made us cynical and our cleverness has made us hard." It is knowledge and cleverness that has allowed ourselves to think outside the box and end things such as slavery, and it's ending discrimination to homosexuals etc. He sort of presents cleverness and kindness as two mutual exclusive things, that's to bad. Would've been a great speech otherwise.

Older people are retiring at an older age, resulting in a lack of jobs for the younger generation, I ask you, is this a good thing? Our knowledge and lust for power has led to millions of deaths, look at the results of war, bombs and nucear weapons have aided it in the destruction and we are to blame, us the people. However, having an increased life expectancy isn't always a good thing, with more people means more energy used, less resources, money and land to live. I do agree that too much money is being spent on military antics, climate issues are over-publicized atm, as we are in an economic crisis, so what's the point of putting so much money and energy

I just wanted to say thank you for uploading this and that this video spoke to me on a level I never expected. this video opened my eyes and gave me more knowledge on how to live with each other better than anything I was taught which, in its own way is bad. Why aren't we taught by our nations to live like this?
