I have been to churches that I knew it wasnt the Holy Spirit moving. I believe in speaking in toungues and being filled with the Holy Spirit, but when they teach someone to speak in toungues and the person barks like a dog its not of GOD. A different spirit has come in, I was in such a place no one seemed to notice that all the things that happened next was not the Holy Spirit because there are some simularities, but that was mockery. I agree that there are some people out there who are false prophets and are more interested in publicity than their relationship with God. But I think it's really important not to be blinded by the false prophets in two senses. Be careful not to be drawn into false practice and teaching but always remember that God is real and he does let his Holy Spirit rest on people. this reminds me very much of exorcisms. a very good friend of mine's oldest daughter had more than once had exorcisms done on her by supposed christ believing pastors. now i can't vouch for them, but when i went over to her house and prayed with the daughter, i told her right up front there would be complete trust in the lord jesus for her deliverance and there was NO SHOW or performance. my gf said that she never experienced such peace around her daughter until that night we prayed together.

In the 90's, a girl at my jive dancing club I used to attend tried to get me involved in a London based church that engaged in Toronto blessing style activities. It was run by a former barrister. @JohnTheBaptistTV I think slain in the Spirit is being overwhelmed with the awe and power of God. In Revelation and Daniel it says that they fell as ones who are dead, that is being slain in God's presence. A holy visitation of his glory, one that knocks you off your feet.

If you fall down or jerk like a snake it is a Satanic spirit, if you prophesy or see visions, speak in other languages (not jibberish) then you are feeling the spirit of God. There is no Bible basis for being slain in the spirit, laughing in the spirit, or any one of a number of things that have been standard practice in MANY churches for the last 45 years at least. I've been involved in pentecostal or charismatic churches for that long and I'm sure these practices were around before I showed up, but I know for sure about the last 45 years.

The Toronto blessing didn't start out this way either. Over a period of many years we have gradually adopted one strange custom after another. Foothold in Greek is "Topos" which means "space, place or limited occupancy." When you look at Greek, Pnuema is spirit, psyche is soul and soma is body. The Spirit touches our Pnuema, but we can offer our bodies to sin. Paul in Rom 6 tells us not to. Our souls (mind, emotions) can be affected by demons. This does affect Christians.

Notice the laying of hands on the what they call the "chakra" on the forehead.
They open up a door on the vessel which is the body and leave it open. The spirits then invade the body since its like a house with a door left wide open for bad people to get in. So this is actually in plain words ~ evil spirit possession of the body. There are varying degrees of possession. Most of the time the person doesnt even know they are possessed. In the old testament tabernacle, Nadab and Abihu were destroyed by the fire of the Lord for offering profane worship in His tabernacle. The weird manifestations are the work of demons who deceive the very people who claim to have discernment.
I am encouraged that these videos expose a fraudulent experience and movement, as the church is intructed to do so in Scripture. I do not believe for a single moment that this is of God' Holy Sprit, which comes in wisdom that is pure, peacable, and gentle.

Ok. I think that many people lump all who believe in tongues, healings, etc, in with those who believe all the crazy stuff too. I was brought up UPC, didn't agree with it's man made rules, but very much believed the same, repent, be baptized, etc. Left church completely for about 6 rebellious years when I clearly was not walking with God. I think people simply WANT something "spiritual" to happen to them while at these places and most are probably fleshed out anyway. As far as the holy laughter thing goes, I experienced it in a small church, in a small town, in Tennessee, before it became known. It was an annointing that fell upon many in our church, including the pastor. It came suddenly and was quite odd I must say, but it was hardly demonic, it was just laughter...and we had never even heard of such a thing at the time.
Back in the 60's we had the Bagwan maharishi leading this kind of madness. Looks just like this. He set up a huge camp in Antelope Valley, Ore. ? They talked openly about the "kundalini spirit" / that it was good. But no one came out of that "church" better off. In fact most went MAD. But they danced around just like this.
What exactly PROVES that it's a Kundalini spirit and why is this necessarily a bad thing?
Couldn't it technically be possible that that could be (if you insist on seeing this as the work of a spirit) be the Holy spirit working in all these people. Or could it just be that the Kundalini spirit and the Holy spirit have the same effects on people who believe in each respective one.There are many accounts of such acts in the Bible. And we must bear in mind all religious experiences could be false.

Jesus didn't say You'll know them(their root or source) by their manifestations, He said you'll know them (Their root or source) by their fruit. Are they upholding the the truth of who Jesus claimed to be and how He called us to live? What direction is their life heading in? Away from that truth or towards it? I have been to churches that I knew it wasnt the Holy Spirit moving. I believe in speaking in toungues and being filled with the Holy Spirit, but when they teach someone to speak in toungues and the person barks like a dog its not of GOD. I agree that there are some people out there who are false prophets and are more interested in publicity than their relationship with God. But I think it's really important not to be blinded by the false prophets in two senses. Be careful not to be drawn into false practice and teaching but always remember that God is real and he does let his Holy Spirit rest on people. this reminds me very much of exorcisms. a very good friend of mine's oldest daughter had more than once had exorcisms done on her by supposed christ believing pastors. now i can't vouch for them, but when i went over to her house and prayed with the daughter, i told her right up front there would be complete trust in the lord jesus for her deliverance and there was NO SHOW or performance. my gf said that she never experienced such peace around her daughter until that night we prayed together.

I in fact see how God has used Lakeland as a blessing as well. My suspicions are confirmed; the people I've witnessed caughtup in this "spirit" are some of the rudest, craziest and insane people i've ever encountered. @xsweetheartforux - I don't think "Slaying in the Spirit" is quite the same as all this 'jerking' type stuff. It CAN be "off", but also I believe it can truly be from God. So it is best to use your discernment and also judge the "fruit" of it in your life.

@xsweetheartforux -the bible says that the apostles looked drunk and were saying things in other languages. If you fall down or jerk like a snake it is a Satanic spirit, if you prophesy or see visions, speak in other languages (not jibberish) then you are feeling the spirit of God. God needs to diminish your ego in order to rebuild it back up but this is also what demons have learned to do. The best way to know is the sign of love of God through forgiveness of self and others. Fasting will help.

There is no Bible basis for being slain in the spirit, laughing in the spirit, or any one of a number of things that have been standard practice in MANY churches for the last 45 years at least. I've been involved in pentecostal or charismatic churches for that long and I'm sure these practices were around before I showed up, but I know for sure about the last 45 years.

People need to be baptize in water and the more important baptism which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit and baptism of Fire. @ThePrayerHotline That is a based on assumption. You should read "What Demons Can Do to Saints" by Unger. Paul says in Eph 4:27 to not give the devil a foothold. Foothold in Greek is "Topos" which means "space, place or limited occupancy." When you look at Greek, Pnuema is spirit, psyche is soul and soma is body. The Spirit touches our Pnuema, but we can offer our bodies to sin. Paul in Rom 6 tells us not to. Our souls (mind, emotions) can be affected by demons. This does affect Christians.

Nearly two years ago, God used a pastor/friend to help me cast them out. I think people simply WANT something "spiritual" to happen to them while at these places and most are probably fleshed out anyway. As far as the holy laughter thing goes, I experienced it in a small church, in a small town, in Tennessee, before it became known. It was an annointing that fell upon many in our church, including the pastor. It came suddenly and was quite odd I must say, but it was hardly demonic, it was just laughter...and we had never even heard of such a thing at the time.

Or could it just be that the Kundalini spirit and the Holy spirit have the same effects on people who believe in each respective one.There are many accounts of such acts in the Bible. And we must bear in mind all religious experiences could be false.

I am shocked at the gross head shake behaviours! But I don't agree it's invading the WHOLE charasmatic movement, because many Charasmatics are starting to get wise...especially after the animal sounds and head shakes emerging and the "manafestations" getting WEIRDER and this obsession with angels (worship of angels) some people are truly waking up, others are continuing in the deception.

Lord I pray for the people of you tube, and for the people making negative comments on this page in an unknowingly effort to hinder the spread of the Holy Ghost. In Jesus' name. Amen. End times are near and you will see allot more pouring out of the New Wine the closer and more desperate we get. It isn't our fault that our human flesh can barely withstand the touch of the Holy Spirit. You people wouldn't understand unless your cup has overflown also. Go get some FIRE and spread it!

It should be pretty clear that those who experience kundalini awakening emerge believing and upholding something quite different from those who manifest at modern day revival meetings. Especially in regard to who Jesus is, how one must be saved and their view of the Bible. All truths that satan would be anxious to undermine. When we come before the Lord at the end of our lives, What's He going to be wanting to see? Surely we know it's people who display the fruits that mark His character.

Jesus didn't say You'll know them(their root or source) by their manifestations, He said you'll know them (Their root or source) by their fruit. Are they upholding the the truth of who Jesus claimed to be and how He called us to live? What direction is their life heading in? Away from that truth or towards it? Surely that is how we determine what spirit has been at work. And let's get this in perspective, one man fell at lakeland not the everyone who attended those meetings.
